I'm heading to charlotte in February and looking for some places to ride. Not looking to do any urban really, would like to ride dirt since I'll be coming from the Northeast.

The only place I know of around Charlotte is Pee Wee's (near Lincolnton)...It's got some nice jumps and some swell elevated stuff to drops...Otherwise, with Catawba's aborted FR attempt, the only other place that has a few tricky things is Poplar Tent...Both trails should be on MTBR (yes, I'm that lazy to not even link it)...Or like the poster above said, may a day trip up to Pisgah Natty...
