I've heard they don't do well in the heat. My apartment is 1920 construction and it cooks in the summer. Though my neighbor is in an identical unit and says her dog has endured it pretty well over the past two summers here (the pooch is 3). other than that, what health issues have y'all seen?

for what it is worth in comparison.....

a friends english bulldog has done well with the heat of the summer in colorado and currently doing quite well in florida.

he is going to be 10 this year.

Her greyhound really is dumb. Sweet as can be, but will just lay in the AZ sun and bake herself into ash unless you tell her to go inside or drink something. She's up on the couch with me today as I work.

Oh, and she drools like a champ, and can drop a fart like she was dropping mustard gas on ethnic minorities. She loves to play with my two Jacks, but I fear when they get playing rough she'd get shredded.
