Another Fresh Gear has come around, and this time we take a look at a cool new fork from SR Suntour, Fox's XC/AM Striker Helmet and SOG's CrossCut multi-tool.

SOG CrossCut Tool - $21
Though the CrossCut looks absolutely dainty, the spring-loaded scissors on SOG’s mini-tool easily shear through heavy gauge materials. Props here go to the cleverly designed compound leverage gears and top-to-bottom, stainless-steel construction. The CrossCut packs an additional 10 tools, including a knife, small and medium flat-blade screwdrivers, tweezers, nail file/cleaner, bottle opener
and pick.

Fox Striker Helmet - $120
Fox’s new brain bucket, the Striker, covers plenty of cranial real estate, without adding excess grams or making your noggin feel like it’s been trapped in a sauna. Twenty-two cleverly designed vents provide maximum airflow and the Detox 2 retention system keeps the swank lid perfectly in place, even when you are ragdolling along the trail.

SR Suntour Axon ELD - $830 (tapered steerer)
An electric fork? Sort of. The Axon ELD bounces along on air springs—standard operating procedure for a high-end XC fork. When it’s time to climb, however, simply push the handlebar-mounted lock-out button and an electric motor closes the damping circuit. The Axon ELD also features a hollow-forged aluminum crown, 32-millimeter stanchions, and is available in both standard quick release and 15-millimeter through-axle configurations.
