I went and got inked last night. My first tat was a spur of the moment deal, about 12 years ago, while I was with some friends who were getting some work of their own done. It's just a simple Celtic knot between my shoulder blades. This one I put some thought into, worked with the artist but mostly let him do the design based on my ideas. We started back in August with some sketches and here's the finished product. It's still fresh so it's weeping a bit but this is the best picture I could get of it this morning.
