Riding past the morgue.
dislike.

too hot? are you getting all this smoke down there? :hmm:
Family/house hold shit nobody bothered to tell me about. Hardy any smoke down this way so far. Palmer Divide must be holding it all back. Managed to get out eventually around 10, but by then it was already ball hot. Planned route got aborted in favor of a shorter loop in the canyon because of the heat, and the thunder and lightning that started popping off before noon. Good thing too, I ran out of water on the way home, because:
damn it's hot out :dead:

Visited the local pump track for the first time this morning - brand new Velosutions unit less than a mile from my house.

It was fun for 30 minutes, but since I am too old, unskilled and chickenshit to try any crazy gaps or transfers, it got pretty boring. Maybe I’ll see how much of it I can manual next time.
Which one did you go to? I told Lil Man I would take him to Gateway Green since we didn't get to ride very much last time.

:clapping: Nice job!
I’ll take a year off and manage construction, as part of my newly formed Flatland Freeride Trail Co. I’ll watch for the first check in the mail!

Today was a ripper. Haley is in tight with the other kids two race weekends in a row. Seb, the other kid on the team, we having a breakdown again because he couldn't pass her, drop her, and she was continually going faster.

There is a thing about tracks and karting. The hotter the track gets, the slower times get. Haley, as her tires were getting worse and the track was getting hotter, kept getting faster. She started the day .5sec off Seb; she ended the day .3sec faster. Their coach decided not to do video and data for the last session, so we didn't get to see them side-side, but she was clearly closing on him through the harder to control corners (bumps at turn-in  ). Tomorrow shall be fun.

Her third TV piece will get posted tonight between 930-10pm on KDVR. I told them I wouldn't share it until it aired, so I will likely post in the am because I'm about to go to sleep.

Here,

Had to meet the asphalt dude for a quote this morning then got tied up with ziply fiber to move the riser, then went and looked at 3 more listings, asking for disclosures on all three then will call the planners office monday.
You slowly buying up the west coast or what?

The 10 acre lot kitty-corner from me is for sale. I keep wondering if I should grab it for future shenanigans. It’s got a gravel road (done by a guy I know and trust), electric, well and pad. Very secluded, but not really far from town.

ETA- come to think of it, it might have septic too….

send me the link to the property, I can probably offer some insight for ya

Rather than having funds sitting in the market earning small percentages and instability on the horizon I prefer to have solid assets that will have much higher gains. Just having the properties is the biggest hurdle, they can sit for a year or two until I am ready to develop them but now that I know the county takes forever for permits and I am waiting anyways it seemed logical.

I get to shower in the morning. It's been a few days and I'm a bit ripe. I haven't gone anywhere or done much, but I'm still funky.

Heh. Just went looking for it on the googleweb and couldn’t find it. I’ll get a pic of the sign tomorrow as I drive past. I know the seller - in fact, his kid was here working for me today. It’s a small town…

While I was at the Laundry. Someone left a Washington post. Not the Newstand addition. But a Local edition from that day. While not a Washington post fan. It was interesting to pick it up and read it. I was doing laundry. It's the little things sometimes. It made laundry less sucky. It seems impossible that could even happen. You would literally have to fly from Washington to Rochester NY and as soon as you got home you did your laundry before I arrived at 2:28pm. Seems unlikely.
