Yesterday I was expecting to ride since my cold had receded to an acceptable level. Of course I tweeked my neck in a bad way assembling an Ikea floor lamp.

Taking my last poop in Indiana, I hope.

About to leave for Dayton to visit the air force museum and then will drive home.

Fingers crossed the weather cooperates.

The thought crossed my mind to hit you up. But then I would have to drive through Marion and then Muncie. . . The thought quickly passed.
My coworkers told me and I quote "don't goto the south Muncie Walmart, that's where you get stabbed"

All that aside, there does at least seem to be a lot of bike stuff here; paths, bike parking and whatnot. I'm guessing it doesn't get used much though..

Also y'all don't plow side streets here? Are there even snow plows? Lol

It’s a college town (Ball State), so there are more greenways and such than other surrounding towns. It’s still a shit hole though. Psss side streets? They’re fine to drive, unless you’re a bitch.

Morning Monkeys.

Fritter Friday bitches. I kept saying I wasn't going to buy anything this month, then I bought some sneakers. Then last night I won the 50/50 raffle for $106, that almost covers the sneakers, so it's all good.

You can barely move with said layers.

How's your ski season going?

On a positive note - follow-up with the spine guy went pretty well. He said stay on the post-back-surgery protocol for another 4 weeks, then, if things are feeling good, I can go back to "regular activity." :brows:

I didn't tell him my "regular activity" may not be the same as most of the old white dudes with spine issues he usually sees. :busted:

to be fair, early mobilization and actually strengthening your paraspinal muscles instead of letting them wither away is probably good, extrapolating from my reading of the knee literature that I was suddenly interested in in 2023 after my meniscus repair.

My little part of LA is still safe from mother nature.
I still need to get out of my house for a few hours while the exterminator poisons things in my walls.

He said absolutely *no* back PT until the end of the 4 weeks to give the hole in my disc sufficient time to heal. Once I get the green light for that I'll plan on doing a few weeks of back-related PT.

In the meantime, I'm going in for PT for my right leg, which still has lingering weakness from the nerve impingement (as well as being completely unused for like 4 weeks) and my right foot, which is still pretty drop-ish.
