What flavour were the pie charts?14 hours* of corporate powerppoint yesterday. 8 more on deck for today. Wtaf? Do management people really think this provides value?
*i guess it was probably only 12 hours if you count lunch dinner and coffee breaks…
but also . Good luck to both of you!Wife is about to not be a CO resident, she's heading east shortly.
I'm still here for another dozen days. Hoping to get some riding in, in between the packing. Plus I need to list an old road bike and get it sold before I leave...
Besides the political BS this was the one big thing that never stopped thinking about. It even looked like the people who were good at running long powerpoint shows were perceived as better employees.14 hours* of corporate powerppoint yesterday. 8 more on deck for today. Wtaf? Old road bike you say? I’ve been kicking around the idea of picking up an old road bike to use on the indoor trainer thingy, instead of converting my gravel bike whenever I want to use it. Which means I never use the trainer, because we can generally ride outdoors often enough even in the winter that I don’t wanna deal with it. Shoot me the listing when you have it?Wife is about to not be a CO resident, she's heading east shortly.

Nobody can say you two didn't make the most of your time there. I, for one, will always cherish the memories we had.Wife is about to not be a CO resident, she's heading east shortly.

That's where I've had it since lockdown. Will do.Old road bike you say? Fond memories of our CO rides Timmeh. I'm sure there will be some NE road trips in our future as S hasn't done anything beyond the stuff near to NYC we rode while there - and at that point she was very, very beginner versus how she crushes stuff now.Nobody can say you two didn't make the most of your time there. Best of luck with the move. I hope we cross paths again.
When I worked at GE we had a sales meeting at some university in Canaderp. For closing remarks they had the university president give a talk.14 hours* of corporate powerppoint yesterday. 8 more on deck for today. Wtaf? Do management people really think this provides value?

job situation looks like it has shifted quickly, and for the better. finally.
Sounds like it's time for a story, Unka Ringle!
Jesus fuck
just transferring off the gravy train that's going to crash first.
I can't focus for 12 minutes nevermind 12 hours. When I worked at GE we had a sales meeting at some university in Canaderp. For closing remarks they had the university president give a talk.
He basically said we just wasted a week as stuffing people in a room for 12 hours a day and jamming info down their throats doesn't work, people cannot focus for that long. Pretty sure I was the only person who was listening to him. Point proven
Ahhh..... You're pulling the chute. SMRTjust transferring off the gravy train that's going to crash first.
someone at the first med device company i worked at is retiring. my old boss is now a manager there, and the director is someone I know.
i'll have to transition over, so not a clean 2 weeks then gone, but i'll take it.Ahhh..... You're pulling the chute. SMRT
Been thereI love when people try to circumvent a process saying that it's "urgent and they don't have time", only to spend 3x the time it would have taken to use the process writing emails explaining why they don't have time to use the process.
If I find the subject interesting I can pay attention. Lots of classes in grad school were super intense dumps of information, but after about 1.5 hours of intense focus I was exhausted.I can't focus for 12 minutes nevermind 12 hours.
