I thought the lighting kind of created a classic scary.
Well, as scary as a four year old can be anyway.

i didn't shoot anything in particular either, but ex-Sugarcubes ranter/trumpter Einar Orn's new band Ghostigital opened for the Melvins on sunday, and he was pretty unhinged, so this will have to do:

Here's my scary photo. I took this while out on a hike a week or so ago. It's a fairly common shrub. Its Latin name is Hamamelis Virginiana. Okay it's a stretch, but extra points if you can figure out why it might be construed as scary.

Because the common name is witch hazel?
Ding, Ding, Ding!!! We have a winner! There is this beautiful over look in Frederick MD called Bob's Rock. This photo is from there. Witch Hazel grows all over the place up there. The scent is very faint but you can just sort of make it out. It's a very tranquil place.

I also took this picture there a few years ago. It also fits the spooky genre.
