Weather looks good today, but not great tomorrow afternoon for outdoor bicycling.

Wanted to get out on a big ride, but no way could I have done this morning after travelling with work all week.

Re: swim, I got 2600 yards done this morning. That was my 4th swim this week, thanks to being unable/unwilling to ride. Shitty weather today so I will hop on the office treadmill at some point since I'm in the office.

Morning Monkeys.

Had a great meeting with the boss yesterday. I've been getting my ass kicked with this automation and it turns out I found a bug, it wasn't me.
He seemed very happy with what I have and even asked if I'd been willing to give the lab monkey something to do since he's been idle. I can't help but feel like I'm way behind, but I am doing shit nobody has done, so who knows how long it's supposed to take? I need to relax. :drag:

hey bros. how are ya?

had kind of an awful night last night, wife picked a fight around the barbie movie which triggered some sort of stress response in my body and left me feeling absolutely awful physically (as well as mentally). Wasn't planning on drinking but did as that can help prevent/avoid migraines and that's what it felt like. Did some googling this morning and apparently this could be like a tik tok thing where people test their partners with whether they want to see the movie or not? Fuck that shit either way.
This is where PTSD comes in handy. Ruth knows that I get triggered by crowds and loud noise. I don't deal well in theaters, concerts, and restaurant (unless it's outdoor seating at the latter two, so I don't get asked to go

Futhermucker, both of the sourdough bread loaves fell while cooking. They got way overproofed overnight, and actually got too light.
Never had that happen before.
should have let them rise again after scoring.

CEO is visiting my department next week and I got asked to put together a presentation for a project I am not due to start until next month in 2 hours. Just my managers struggling to make it look like they have a fucking clue what this org is doing. And if you don't have a clue? Ask someone else to fake it for you.

How far out are you from retirement?
I am chained to the corporate machine until I am 65 for little else than health insurance, so another 16 years.

Although I do have a scheme to just become a professional full time student, tuition + student health insurance is cheaper than actual health insurance for an old fart. If I decide to go that route I only have about 5 years to go.

At the track. Whole family here so family tent instead of the team tent. Haley's giving mom and Hannah a tour of the pits.

Watching the construction by work, it's funny to see the difference in ability. The scrub in the little machine on the left dumps half his bucket before he gets to the truck. Homeboy on the right has a flipped bucket and is scooping out of the truck, then laying it out evenly into the foundation.
