My mom simply elected to not have gutters installed on her house when she recently had her roof done. Maybe just put a short gutter with spout above the door? I mean... it's just water. Unless, of course, you have water problems in the basement - then perhaps not such a great idea. :D
Jeebus, just thinking about that gives me anxiety. Gutters and water runoff are kind of important out here. I filled a 250 gallon IBC tank with runoff from half of my shop roof in about 30 minutes yesterday. I try not think about what it would do to the building and the ground if we just let it run off the eaves...

This summer I plan to put 30,000 gallons worth of rain water holding tanks in place. That should help with irrigation and potential wildfire protection.

Speaking of which, gutter peeps want $3,500 to install gutters with leafguards. Hate it, but might just pay the man to make my problems go away.
Did you consider these:
I use one on one side of the building where I usually get most leafs. Works quite well.
