My ride Sunday was remarkable. The sun was shining brightly and it was probably around 42 degrees - which I consider warm for winter riding. It was incredibly beautiful to see the frozen trees and grasses, though they melted off after about an hour of us being out there. I had a great time but only took a few pictures. So for anyone in need of some motivation or just something to remind you that riding is around the corner if it's raining or nasty where you are, enjoy.

My Yeti amongst a backdrop of frozen trees at the top of the climb.

Derek on a little berm coming down.

Get out and ride!!!!!

It really wasn't cold at all. We were only wearing under armour and a vest upper body, then leg warmers and shorts lower body. THe sun was really warm.

I like the way Derek is carrying his shin gaurds on the ride up.
Isn't that how everyone carries their shinguards? I often attach my lid to my stem on the really long slow ascents...top tube and downtube also function well as shinguard holsters.

Cool pics, great spirit.

Not a big deal but you are both running your gravity droppers pointing the wrong way (at least as compared to how GD shows them last time I saw, and how most people run them). You're less likely to get slop in the mechanism if you turn them around to face forward. Great thing to have though eh? I did a ride the other day on a borrowed bike without a GD and was surprised how much I missed it.

Nice pics!

How much does your Yeti weigh anyway? Did you get a particular build kit or do it yourself?
I bought the entire bike used from some guy in Colorado. I'm not sure how much it weighs. I'd guess around 28 or 29 with the gravity dropper.

T - if you are considering the 575, I'd also look at the Commencal Meta 5.5 series of bikes. Great prices, nice suspension design and lightweight - in and around 28 pounds or so complete stock, maybe even lighter for the highest end Meta 5.5

Cheers,

Mark
