I need to upgrade the 2 foot long stem that came with my FSR and also replace the flat bar.

I first was thinking Thomson stem and either Answer or Easton riser bar, but then I saw the FSA products on Jenson.com and they look pretty good and lightweight.

So anyone got experience with any of those two?

Good or bad.

Thanks.

Hummmm...

I have no experience with these products at all, but that FSA stem is just gorgeous and the price is right too! (Are you talking about the FR 200?)

Concerning the bar, I personnally like the RooX riser I have on my FSR.

Get a nice 99gram Easton EC90 flat carbon bar and a thomson stem nice and light.:D J/K
The FSA stems are nice but you can get one of those really sweet looking Giant carbon insert stems at a giant dealer for 99$ canadian. For a riser i think easton good fsa is probly more than fine but i have a really nice Profile design Fiber RS bar it has i think 35mm rise and it's 25inches wide. I used it for about a 2 months but now i've gone back to flat. i'm seeling it for 60$ i payed 100$ for it. It's super strong because it's a thin aluminum bar raped in Carbon fiber DHers use it but it's light to.
If you'r interrested just tell me by Pm or here.

I'm seriously looking at the new FSA stuff for my XC/Trailbikes - it looks nicely made, and well priced. I havent had a chance to ride any yet, but maybe keep checking the MTBR product review sections and see what people have to say. Might be a while before you get an accurate picture, so if you like the stuff, take the plunge I say! :)

I do however have Answer Protaper carbon XC riser bars and think they're awesome, as well as a bevvy of Thomson stuff, which is bulletproof but not the lightest, and the straight seatpost is not appropriate unless you have the correct seat angle, which 99% of bikes dont have. I also like the look of the new Easton EC70 layback posts and EA50 stem, although the high end stem looks scary in the front face plate area, so I'm staying away from that one, as well as the Magnesium stems which I think are kinda pointless.
