Had two short after work rides, to break in my girlfriend's new bike. We headed out to some of the old sea otter trails behind Laguna Seca since they're only about 10 mins from my house.
We parked over by Toro Creek Estates and climbed up Guidoutti Rd. to Skyline. Some people always look at me like I'm nuts on my ~45lb Faith when we're out climbing, but now they throw half those funny looks at my girl too. Here she is on her first climb w/ a 40 lb bike
The view going up
Once we got to the top, we took Skyline Rd. over to trail 47. It drops behind the back straight away at Laguna Seca and is super flowy with some whoops thrown in for good measure. Sorry about the blurry pics, she kept catching back up to me faster than I thought.
Little bit of air on the new bike
Summer time after work riding when the sun gets low and the shadows get long is freaking awesome.
More trail 47..
She's a better picture taker than I am
Our next after work ride had us leaving from Toro estates again and heading up Trail 45 to Oil Well Rd. All that rain durning sea otter got the grass growing pretty good.
Am I peeing or just chillin there? You'll never know...
Crossing over to oil well rd.
We then took trail 10 over to trail 41, also known as the Goat Trail. It also has some really fun and smooth decending. There's me waaaaay up there comming down.
Railing a corner on her new bike
It not crazy gnar or insane rock gardens, but still really fun. And now that my g/f has something with a bit more travel, I've got another riding buddy for the chair lifts this summer
