chopped-fingered gloves bug me. so much that i'd much rather ride bare handed than with gloves. thinking about giving full fingered gloves a shot...any recommendations for a light, full fingered glove? as little padding as possible.

white ones would be badass.

i have a pair of Adidas Adistar gloves that, were they full fingered, would be perfect.

Go to the local big home improvement store and get full fingered light gardening or construction gloves. They are almost identical to cycling gloves these days, just way cheaper.

Welding supply stores are even better. Look for the light weight Tillman mechanics gloves or similar.

I don't care for short finger gloves on the road or mountain. The lightest for road use I've found are the 661 Raji with a full mesh back. More importantly they are available in white and QBP has them in stock.

I was going to recommend the same gloves. They are definitely the thinnest I've seen. Had a pair and liked them okay, but they are certainly thin and light.

I use the 661 Raji gloves. They're pretty well ventilated, no padding/thin palms, and come in white. I've had a pair for years that I use...
Check 'em out...

I always wear full-fingered gloves, I don't think I even own a pair of the chopped-finger style anymore. I have a few pairs of fox for mtb and a super thin pair of specialized gloves that I like for the road.

i don't like wearing gloves for road riding.
I only wear gloves when its cold out......I'm picky about bar tape because I don't wear gloves
I don't wear gloves on the road and use Fizik tape. Good stuff.

“I felt Bahati coming up on my left and threw my bike as hard as I could,” Barlevav said. “Being such a humid day, my hands just slipped off the bars. I guess I should have been wearing gloves.”

Clearly not enough masturbation.

As for bar tape I have Sampson tape on my road bike right now and I've been really happy with it; it has a soft feel and doesn't get slick when I sweat.

I use an old pair of Troy Lee Air gloves cut down for road and full fingered when cooler.

They are great if you don't mind the non-roadie brandnames...

No padding, just super soft leather palms and as the name suggests, very light and airy. Terry cloth sweat wipe as well.

I wear finger less on the road bike when I wear them. I use Stella Eleganza for staying pretty dry. I also find that when it's hot and humid, my hoods are like they are oiled when I'm climbing out of the saddle. I hate gloves on the roadie, but they help me hold on so I stick with them.

a little biased, but our glove is single layer clarino palm. and the fit is snug,
spandex rib top.

wumpus, i don't race, so any crash (none yet) is my own stupidity.

and i hit the asphalt w/ the typical roadie get-up, my hands are likely the least of my worries.

I take it you gloveless folks don't do the tire-wiping ritual after riding through glass.

If it's cold (for CA) I'll use my full finger MTB gloves--TLD XC, not much in the way of padding, pretty light. Forgot gloves recently, and it was a little weird. Grip is not quite the same.
