so i need to put a home-spun logo right next to the clock on fvwmTaskBar (where you might see a new mail notification on a typical windoze tasktray), and all i can tell from the man pages & fvwm.org is you're allowed to manipulate the clock, toggle mail notification, and nothing else. seems to me there should be some config or .*rc hack to add items much like you can customize menus & their properties & actions.
the only ugly hack i could contemplate is changing the new mail icon (mail2.xpm?) to the logo & insure at logon a new message is "touched", and making their mailbox read-only. (mail is never used in this environment)
