I'm curious to see that sort of updated BCD bike. The expensive sensitive not so durable derailleur, with a programable button is why I would put it in a box and not on a regular bike. Also the bcd dual shock Couch, and the inedibl(sp).
That is pretty killer!!!PINION announced a five-year negotiable warranty to all of their gearboxes, even retroactive since date of delivery in 2012.
This is about riding a 29er properly...or...and people complain about 29ers blowing out switchbacks....

Weight is almost identically to an 155mm 12-speed 'Ion GPI' resp. 700g above an 205mm 9-speed 'Ion 20 EFFIGear'.ooooh. a 36# mid-travel bike with whack geometry. where do i sign up?

So let's look for Rob METZ' all-new-for-2016 CFRP 165mm high-pivot gearbox* AM/trail bike...yes. and i would like #noneofthem
have i missed something? are there spyshots / specs floating around yet?The Zerode Trail is close. The molds are made he is just waiting to raise a bit more capital before the first batch is made.

Has anyone thought I made a joke? They should all go for 29er GeoMetrons...
So now it is a rumor!Supposedly the EFF box has some issues that the Pinion does not.
It requires no lubrication, it is quiet, it is lighter, doesn't stretch, provides consistent efficiency, lasts much longer, cleans itself.Sounds like it doesn't shift as well under load and needs a bit more on the service side. I have not ridden either so can't comment. That is why it is supposedly and not for sure. Also why the hell are these people using belts when a chain costs so little and has almost no wear on a gearbox?
The gearbox itself has a pair of freewheels with 12 PoEs each.isn't some fault of the engagement using ratcheting rear hubs vs fixed?
Pinion is also working on servo shifting. This is an application that makes sense on a bike. I just hope they don't get dumb like sram and go for wireless. No thanks.
