I need's help :help:

My rear Hayes caliper is dragging and the right side pad (opposite of the bleeder) is almost worn. I pushed the calipers back and as I pull the lever I noticed the right piston seems to pop out (seems stuck) initally and the left piston barely moves. I'm going to take it apart tonight and if I have to I will replace the pistons. Does this seem like the issue or does is sound like something else? The caliper is only a couple months old with no crashes on it.

ANY suggestions or ideas are appreciated!

Last time that happened to me, I took apart the caliper and pulled out the pistons. Lubed up the square o-rings on both sides with DOT, smoothed the edge of the pistons and the bore in the caliper where the pistons go, and now my brakes work great.

Yeah, I was thinking that is all they will need to get em working properly. Maybe it's the high altitude, dry air and dusty conditions @ n* :thumb:

When you reinstall the pistons first fill the bores with DOT, this way you won't get air behind the piston. Instead of all the trouble with taking the pistons out maybe try to get the sticky piston free by holding back one piston and pump lever few times to get other out enough to put some DOT around it. Then try to work it in and out. After make sure to get all the excess DOT off around the piston so it don't transfer to your pads.
