Lamb of God? Some anger management issues much?

It's an effect or regional sub-cultures. SoCal has a strong surf/skate culture from which this type of music originated. The greater South have a historical background from which bluegrass then country originated. Other areas of the South have heavy hip-hop/rap cultures due to the large black population.

On that note, I have found that the vast majority of individuals I have met who listen to metal regularly, have generally lower levels or education though. I have also seen shockingly dense populations in the mid-west and racially-biased pockets throughout the country. Is it coincidence that metal fans (angry music) are often racists (usually under educated)?

Interesting assumption and totally inaccurate but based upon stereotypes nonetheless. Yes it is true that out of my CD collection of over 3000+ last count perhaps 1/3 of that would be in the ?Heavy Metal? genre. However growing up in a so called pseudo-country club republican WASP household I was exposed to a wide variety of music at an early age classical romantic, rat pack, county crooner and big band. Having an older sister it was Beatles, Elton and the Who but best of all was the stoner surfer kid that lived next door that exposed me to Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Hendrix before I ever heard of Kiss in the early 70?s.

I?ve got everything from Mendelssohn to Morrissey to the Melvins in my collection but perhaps the most shocking and blows a giant hole into your uneducated assumption of one?s intelligence and music tastes is my massive prog-rock and psychedelic rock collection never heard that progressive rock fans described as neanderthals and of course I have every Pink Floyd vinyl album and cd along with rarities and bootlegs and early genesis, king crimson, ELP and any other note worthy prog bands from the 60?s and 70?s to modern prog such as porcupine tree, bass communion, blackfield etc...

To my wife?s chagrin I?ve got an equally deep collection of post punk, gothic and alternative with the Smiths and Joy Division as some of my favorites. Country music is a slam dunk due to geographic location along with Blues. Although WSP, Phish and Jack Johnson type of jam mamby pamby stuff sends me up the wall it did keep me riding more laps than planned at a 12hr race because I didn?t want to have to listen to it from the idiots camped next to us for the entire race.

Joker I got a laugh at your thinly veiled insult of one?s intelligence and musical tastes but remember Jim Carey, Nicolas Cage, Cameron Diaz, Adam Sandler, Madonna, Jack Black, Brian Posehn, Javier Bardem, Robbie Williams, Megan Fox and Elton John have all expressed an affinity for Heavy Metal music. Do any of them fit into your view that all metal heads are knuckle dragging mouth breather racists?

And just to stay on topic I?ll post some music to kill Kaddafi by.

All that music, and still a douchenozzle. How many of those kids would not have learned music had it not been for publicly funded music programs in publicly funded schools taught by dedicated teachers?

And btw, having a **** load of music does not get you any cool points...just exposes you are a rich nimrod who buys alot of crap in a feeble attempt to score cool points. Fail...you could own originals of every thing Miles Davis and Coletrane ever did, presented to you straight from the wax pressings, and still be a knob.

If you have God given talent you will find your own way and be rewarded.

Why have the government subsidize it?

Wow, you are a dick.
Because not all of us were born with silver spoons in our mouths, and government, while able to provide nuclear weapons and other fun stuff, can also provide things that build the world up, instead of tearing it down.

Come to Australia we now have a 24/7 Government funded radio station that just plays Aussie unsigned bands and the sister station to that is always running comps that puts an unsigned band on a stage at a lot of the festivals they support.

It does so much more for local talent that all those **** reality TV shows combined, christ I hate them.

No no, you were calling people pussies for what they listened to, and talking about how cool your "metal" is. And how you "throw down." And I just had to laugh, and point out the fact that you carry no more credit at a lamb of god concert as going to see taking back sunday or elton john

Actually if you go back through previous threads I’ve not called out anyone. I do believe I was responding to a poster that had made a snide comment about a video I had posted and was just pointing out the hypocrisy. But hey read it anyway you want your internet bravado is hilarious.
