shhhh, let him have his moment. if he were really that confident he'd be letting us have our fun, knowing that he'd be crowing after the election. now this is pretty much all he has left.
nah.. mccain is all but certain to lose... hell even i am not voting for him

just fanning the flames here

after getting my 4th call yesterday for mccain support, i told the volunteer (i only picked up the last call) that not only am i not voting for mccain, but if i got another call asking me to vote for mccain, i'd pull for obama.

i didn't rant & hang up; i made the wench acknowledge my position this really pisses off people in general, and makes some supporters stay home, and undecideds swing the other way. seems so simple, eh?

remote possibility of mccain losing the popular vote but taking the electorial vote a'la 2000.

If the tightening polls are correct and undecided voters in those states break McCain's way — both big ifs — that could make for a repeat of the 2000 heartbreaker for Democrats that gave Republicans the White House.

In 2000, Democrat Al Gore narrowly won the popular vote by 537,179 votes. But George W. Bush won the state-by-state electoral balloting that determines the presidency, 271 to 266. The outcome wasn't clear until a 36-day recount awarded Florida, then worth 25 electoral votes, to Bush by just a 537-vote margin.

Before the 2000 election, political insiders had speculated just the opposite, that perhaps Bush would win the popular vote but lose the presidency to Gore.

I have very little faith in the American populous and it's ability to chose. I will not be shocked if McCain wins as a result of the collective stupidity in the United States.

It makes me sad.
oh come on.. now you sound like a rabid Bears fan when your team looses...

no matter what, there will be another election in 4 years.

I'm fine, it's the country I feel sad for. How far do you think we have left to slide before we reach the cliff?
