"I'm only happy when it rains"

I was singing this yesterday riding to work in the rain. Beautiful wet showers all day. Enough rain and now cool enough that the restrictions on backcountry travel were lifted at 4:00PM yesterday. The trails had been closed due to the extreme fire hazard since August 19.

You would be very happy out here then. It seems to have been raining or snowing since February. Yesterday was the first dry ride I have had all year. Of course long heavy rains this weekend will fix that. But of course last year was so dry you would choke on dust while riding. Boom or bust, things never seem normal anymore.
