What gear ratio do all you BMXers use? I recently switched mine from a 43/16 to a 44/16 on my 24" cruiser (which is mostly used for commuting) and I feel like I could even go a little harder. So, what do you guys run?

I don't have any idea what an "average" gear ratio for a cruiser is...

On my 20", I run 45/16. I'm seriously contemplating going to a 40/14, though. Get that chain/chainwheel out of the way for grinds and such...

in general the average gear ratio of a 24" or crusier is a 39/14 which actually when you do the gear conversion equals out to a 44/16 on a 20" as far as how many feet you travel per wheel revolution...hope that helps

Yeah lotsa people run like a 41/42 in front and 17/18 in the back on their cruisers. I'm running a 38 and 16 and I want mine a little easier for the riding I do.
