    Anybody ever play this?

    Here's a challenge if someone wants to try it out (I got 13459 points on that one);

    http://www.geoguessr.com?s=eyJ0b3Rh...zNS45OTU3ODUzODY0MjAzMiwtMTAzLjg4NjcxODc1XV19

    No cheating with Google though!!!!!!

    In the event that you are wondering what this is, when you click the link you will be randomly dropped somewhere on Google Map's street view. You simply guess where you have been dropped. The challenge is 5 random drops. Who ever guesses closest, wins.

    Holy **** that's fun. I played it 3 times and I was either within about 100 miles or on the complete opposite side of the world.

    82km was my closest guess to one of those in your challenge. But I was in the wrong continent for a couple so my final score wasn't that great :(

    That is pretty damn cool, so far my best score was 9947. My closest distance so far was less than 200 miles.

    Almost beat ya!

    Though I really question how they come up with the points:
    Almost 4,000X closer than you got, and less than 3X the points?:think: I spent literally 45 minutes narrowing that one down to within a city block based on street signs.

    There are almost always clues of some sort - geography, vegetation, language on signs, traffic signage, etc.

    Except for when last night it gave me a location on a remote road in the middle of the desert with absolutely nothing is sight.

    Ended up being in Texas near the Mexican boarder.

    I just marked one within 0.279km of the actual location WITHOUT CHEATING.

    I recognized a bar on the street as a bar in the town of Oswego NY because I've actually been to that bar back when my friends attended college in Oswego.

    awesome! i am proud of you, no sarcasm, personally I chose to forget my short trip to Oswego...

    I did a round without Google. Its difficult, very taxing, almost as hard as that time I tried to quit picking my nose...
    however tempting, I resisted the urge to cheat. here is the result if anyone cares... this game has me geeking out hard. I really enjoy it.

    I got three locations in a row in Texas. I selected three equally ****ty locations in some other state. Anywhere in the midwest should just count as the same place.
