I bumped in to a mate's dad today, he had been going to a skin checker yearly but a hairdresser warned him of a growth on his scalp.
The skin checks had shown up things in the past but it seems they had never really looked at the top of his head.

Long story short, he has less than a 50% chance of survival.

Look after your skin, especially the NZ lads, shit is bad there.

I hear you, don’t worry. I know four people with various versions of skin cancer, and one of my close friends is also dying of a secondary melanoma tumour in his fucking brain. He has a 15 yr old daughter. Super not cool.
‘Hey Siri, what’s the UV index?’ Is one of the main things I ask my phone.
My wife does molemaps yearly, I should probably as well.

Bummer. My wife has a family history of colon cancer but won't work to get an early scope even though the PCP recommended it. So shouldershrug.ascii do what you should I guess!
