Day is almost over here, last ride of the year done.
Got 150 rides done in 2024 and I'm still 35% fat, hahaha!

Raining and much more to come. Windy as hell too. Now let us see if that goes well with all the fireworks people *need* to use tonight.

Last day of 2024. Our snow is disappearing at an alarming rate. Hopefully we get the 3-4 inches ( :disgust1: ) forecasted cause long term looks bleek.

Guess I'll be working on cabinets doors again today. I'll take a walk to the community mailbox to get my SRC freehub.

Went to a Chinese Latern display last night with the nephew in Cary, NC then had Chinese for dinner. Was a good evening. Heading back to the hills today.

What up, brotato chips! I hit the track for an easy five mile jog this morning and that put me over 2500 running miles for the year. Not bad! Goes along with my 3400 cycling miles. I've got an Ironman in 2025, so the run miles will take a dip and bike miles will go way up. I'll be looking at 6-7 century rides during my build up. I'm gonna need pie.

Coffee and relaxing while I work at my laptop.

Hunting season concludes today and I managed to fill none of my tags. So it is. Next year is gonna be my year.

How many cabinets have you built? I need some guidance on carcass construction. Intending to do a single base cabinet with inset doors, butt hinges, sawtooth shelf adjustment and a single drawer (above) with undermount slides and power outlets. Book shelf topper to rest on the cabinet, so it needs to be sturdy, as I have many books.

Too effin' many! :D
Besides kitchen and laundry room, we also went with built in cabinets for the 3 bedrooms instead of regular closets. Also building a 16 feet low tv/book unit.

I always use baltic ply for cabinets. Sturdy and easy to work with. I'm a big fan of the apparent edge look. Works with our general Scandinavian inspiration for the house.

Add a little hiking with weight, or Rucking as the kids call it. You will be amazed at what it does for leg strength on the bike. Snap those cranks right off.

I've used BB in the past, good stuff. This will likely be painted with the exception of the walnut counter and maybe a few other details.

Still muling over the hardware. Feels like the hardest part of this whole thing, finding what I want.

hi ppls

working and then moonlighting, you know the routine. I'll break it up by riding in to the hospital late morning to read out the resident working with me in person.

34* out. spending the day stocking equipment into the new ambulance. I know that the idiot on the street behind us will be launching mortars from Wyoming so we have to sedate our dogs before we attempt sleep tonight. I just may call the cops this time and put a stop to his bullshit

Drinking first coffee since what, the 23rd?

Milk might be slightly off :busted:

Still coughing, which is giving me a headache occasionally. Might go for another short ride later? Might not though, also?

Snow is pretty gone here at home and thin up north now, but still about a foot up there in the bush.

I dislike winter, but this in-between crap is even worse.

There are 3 cops and a state trooper in our 'hood, yet shit blows up every year and nobody cares. It might be them, actually.
