I have been doing alot of searching to find out some info on the faith frame.

I deffenlty think this will be my race bike/trail bike next year.

Does anyone know if I can purchase the frame alone.

And by slim chance has anyone got there hands on the Fatih frame and tossed it on a scale. I figured out the parts groupo weight and minused that from the apprent total bike weight but there is know way that frame comes in at 7 pounds and if it does gitty up 33 pound race bike.

Excessive optimism rules unchecked in the bike world. Error/misrepresentation is common. The "par for the course" for a frame and shock on a big bike like that these days is anywhere from 10-13 pounds.

Yep. I had a customer interested in those bikes yesterday. I told him it probably weighs around 40lbs. I'm not going to BS them on some rediculous weight, there's simply no way a frame that beefy weighs under 10lbs, there's no way with that fork and those wheels/tires that it weighs under 40. Can't change the laws of physics!

Not sure about the weight on the complete bike or frame but I know that the y are going to be offering the frame seperate. My buddy is thinking about getting one and we are just waiting to try one out before he finally decides.
Hope that helps.

JM,
I'm kinda confused, because my bullit is slightly over 8lbs w/ shock, and that thing is minimum 10? I think it's less, but who knows. I just can't imagine it being that heavy since it really doesn't look it.
Oh, and does anyone else think that the linkage on that looks like an upside down ASX?

If you take a closer look the linkage its actually closer to a vpp design then a single pivot design like the asx. I would guess that the weight of the frame is probably around the 8-10 lb range. I doubt that it is any heavier than 10lbs though.

your bullit is over 9lbs, unless it's like the XS with a fox rear shock. Regular-sized bullits with 5th elements are over 9lbs.

Actually it's more like the Iron Horse Sunday/7.5.

If it's 8lbs I'm jesus christ.

Actually if you look at the rear wheel path it is a lot closer to the vpp design than the ih sunday. The only reason it looks like it is similar to the ih sunday is because the lower pivot is above the bb instead of behind the bb.

That is an incorrect analysis.

One thing about the parts spec, there's the Fall 04 giants, and then the 05 giants. The fall 04 includes the reign, faith, and trance, but the parts spects will be a little different, at least they will be different for 05 than what our fall 04 dealer information says. So which will you get if you order it? I don't know, sorry.
