Hi all -

I recently bought a used 2003 XTC frame with the SID Team fork off ebay and was thinking of buying an LX crank and ES51 BB but have no idea what size of BB to buy... stupid Giant doesn't even have a tech or customer support email/phone #... I'm assuming it's a 68mm but my biggest concern is length.

Anyone with experience with the XTC 1 frame and know which version of the ES51 I should be buying?

hey all of the giants are 68mm (except the dh). as for the bb itself i would only get the xt level one. it is only a light more but its a lot lighter and i lot more reliable.

btw. giant does does have a cust. help line and their cust help is very good. the number is 1-800-us-giant

Thanks for the reply... and the Giant # - it wasn't listed on the Canada website (just the mailing address).

I've scrapped the LX idea and have gone with an FSA v-drive crank - and I'll be using an FSA Platinum Pro BB, so I think that's "xt level"...

I could be wrong but I think the spindle length is 113 with a 68mm shell.

I use a 113 x 68 bb for my nrs. It fits with race face cranks and it should fit with fsa cranks.
