I think that i am going to drive down to mammoth this weekend. Are there any camp sites really close to the mountain. I thought this would be the cheapest way to go. Any suggestions?

Mammoth Lakes has a lot of campgrounds....
Also recommend some good trails. Which trails do i need to ride? Edit: sorry forgot to mention i will be riding at the actual resort. But I might have time to ride one or two trails close by in the area.
I have only really ridden Mammoth Mtn (both XC and DH), plus some other random trails around the campgrounds that don't really count. But Lower Rock Creek is supposedly a cool shuttlable trail I keep meaning to ride.
Lower Rock Creek is a must if you are in the area - its a great DH singletrack that isn't too technical but lots of fun and very scenic.
