Can't wait, I leave Saturday for Silverton Colorado to study avalanches for a week with my school. Should be a fun and interesting time. Anybody live out there? Any cool places I should check out at. We have the evenings to ourselves to do pretty much whatever we want. I know its a small town and everything, but what about the bars there too.

I have spent quite a bit of time in Silverton, it is an awesome place. Too bad it's not summer - the biking at Silverton Mountain resort is awesome. The skiing has got to be good too (never skied there), but it's $120 a day.

As far as night life goes - you are probably out of luck. There are a couple bars and restaurants, but the town is tiny. Ouray, Telluride, and Durango are 1-2 hours away if you decide to check out the area. Durango has alot more night life.

Take a deck of cards. Your group will be the nightlife. You should skip school one day and ski while you are there though!! :evil:
