SO I've become allergic to marriage all of a sudden. Out of the blue, a couple of months ago, my finger started having allergic reactions to my wedding ring. I just plain can't wear it anymore. It's a platinum band with gold on either side. Not cheap gold either. I don't get it. I've been wearing it for over two years. Now all of a sudden I'm allergic.

Ever happen to anyone? Any suggestions as to what I can have done to the ring?

AFAIK, gold is totally allergic-proof. You may have a reaction with a component of the alliage (sp?) used to strenghten the gold?

yeah, gold is the material commonly used to avoid such possible allergic reactions... i'd ask your doctor.

I had a similar experience with mine. Your ring sounds a lot like mine as well.

I ended up not wearing for about a month or so and once the reaction had completely disappeared for a few weeks I started wearing it again with no problems since.
