Heh, I didn't even know Connecticut was in the finals until a couple of days ago. Connecticut is having attendance problems. The thing is, they play at the Mohegan Sun casino, which is way the hell out in the middle of East Bumfuk Nowhere, CT. Women's hoops are very popular here, but no one wants to drive an hour to see them. If they played in Hartford, they'd draw 12,000 every night, easy. The UConn women sell out every game (15,000+).

And IAB is right - if the Storm played in the Hartford Civic Center they'd draw a lot better. I am a father of two kids and I'm not thrilled by the fact that the storm play in east bumfock and in a Casino. I'm not sure you can actually get into the Arena without having to walk through the Casino either (probably on purpose).

Yes...that's a great scene...I was reminded of it once when I was at this salon...we were gittin our hair did for a wedding we were in...and I looked down the stair well to where they do the manicures and pedicures...and I saw the technician giving this lady with this GINORMOUS foot a massage...totally reminded me of it...I laughed so hard I cried all the garish make up they applied on me off...
