Not an after-ride beer (although it works perfectly well as that too), but a MID-ride beer: New Glarus Moon Man. Crisp, clear Pale Ale with tons of flavor and very little bitterness. The best part is that the brewery is ~35 miles away, with rolling farmroads and backroads making up the majority of it. All of the bars/restaurants in town serve it, and it's *amazing* while fresh. So head down, grab a sandwich and a couple beers, then (try to) ride back.
Post ride a Radler is great to chuck down your neck to deal with the immediate raging thirst, and I then follow it with a Waldhaus Weisse in summer or in winter a Peak brewing Cornhill porter.
