Cool... it's 81F outside now at 8:45AM...Best time of the year! It was a chilly 41 degrees this morning.
I love this time of year with all the autumn decorations and pumpkins and indian corn and all that crap. HOORAY!
What's this fall you speak of?
This is Colorado so anytime after July is fair game for first snowfall that low. But, yes the first big snow usually happens in October. The mountains were predicted to get up to a foot out of this storm though. Loveland started making snow Wednesday.Kinda early ain't it..??? Shouldn't that be a couple weeks from now?
Splat calls that "Long underwear needed on my ride" day. This past Sunday:
Umm. Dress in layers? And the weather is completely nonsense. You never have a proper fall coat, nothing you wear is right. The sun is out so you're sweating, but there's a breeze so you're freezing... it's not weather it's malaria! It's 80 is 30 it's 60 it's 20 and my balls can't take it... big and then small... big small big small."
Yeah I hate autumn as well, just reminds me that winter is in the mail."Fall is here and all I have to say is FVCK FALL! Fall... I hate the Fall, what bull****. Oh, the leaves change colors - the leaves change colors for 2 days. Then a big wind comes and you got nothing but sticks the rest of the year.

Studs on your bike will do nothing for you in deep powder. That is the only condition I really struggle in. But I'm always laughing the whole time because it's sheer comedy!and studded tires
where was that pic.taken...wow that is pretty deep alreadyThis past Sunday:
Very true on Both counts. the only reason I would say Studs for a Picture like that is that It was on the road , and the Plows and salt , tend to make a Layer of ice under all that fluffy powder.Studs on your bike will do nothing for you in deep powder. Right about in the middle of this map. I think it's around 6000' ish.where was that pic.taken...wow that is pretty deep already
I imagine riding that road in any amount of snow would incur a high level of suck. I think it averages 8% or so for about 5 miles. It'd pretty much be a waste anyways as riding those trails in the snow would be one of the more retarded things you could do. I'm generally sketched to ride them in the wet.Very true on Both counts. the only reason I would say Studs for a Picture like that is that It was on the road , and the Plows and salt , tend to make a Layer of ice under all that fluffy powder.
aw, hell ya.
