Tornado hit Scotts Valley in the Santa Cruz Mts . That's about 15 miles from my old Fire Station.

Any updates on your shoe situation?
So I tried something- getting all my shit on and letting my toes warm up inside my shoes before exiting the house. It helped immensely, but my toes did end up getting cold around an hour in. I think there’s a circulation issue, going from couch to cold doesn’t give my extremities sufficient time to acclimate, then derping around outside eventually makes me cold.

I think to continue at 30 or lower, I’ll need some pogies and a better shoe situation. Heated footbeds are an answer, more insulation might help too. Really not sure.

If my shoes are cold, I will never get them to warm up.

I get blinding pain before I will get frostbite so I don't worry about frostbite cause I won't stay out long enough if my feet hurt even slightly.

I do need to try chemical warmers, I will, if we ever get snow.

How’s the shoulder?
Unbelievably well. Just ridiculous. If I only had known, I could have saved two years of near constant pain by having this done the first time. (This was the third surgery on this shoulder).
Having the sinus surgery 6 days later was…fucking rough. But as far as the shoulder, this should tell you. I had to get in the gown, and I was able to actually tie it together, behind my back, with a correct knot. My nurse was pretty impressed. As was the doc.
I thought I was going to be out for weeks, no cooking, messing with stuff, playing guitar, fapping with that hand, but oh, no.
I actually had to remind myself that I couldn’t go ride a bike this morning.
I just tried using the electric leaf blower to do the back deck, and holy guacamole, is that fun!
