what happens on the 1st of the year ?So excited it's Friday!! I am sneaking out early today... sometime between 12 and 2, woohoo. Not much planned for the weekend; probably relaxing, enjoying the sunshine, and spending more $ on house stuff. My bank account and I can't wait for the first of the year. Have a good weekend, all!
We close on the 29th of December, so I will have everything purchased that we need (major expenses), in addition to paying the rest of my closing costs. After that, it will be several months before using any of my savings again.what happens on the 1st of the year ?
With a new house you aren't finished shelling out $'s when you close on the house.... there's still, landscaping, window treatments, furniture........... the list goes on for 15 months...We close on the 29th of December, so I will have everything purchased that we need (major expenses), in addition to paying the rest of my closing costs. Why are you driving to NYC to go to Diablo?driving down to NYC for a final DH day @ Diablo tomorrow. saw Mojave 3 last night. life is good.
By "all the major expenses" she means she's already bought window treatments, furniture, and most of the list that goes on for 15 months . All the small stuff is tucked away in our closets, bathroom, bedroom, etc. You should see it. We have two small carpets and one big carpet, several bags and a shovel in the bedroom. There's a mailbox and a pile of other stuff in the guest bathroom. Patio furniture is in the office. The living room furniture is awaiting delivery. And the builder does a landscaping that will be okay to start. With a new house you aren't finished shelling out $'s when you close on the house.... there's still, landscaping, window treatments, furniture........... the list goes on for 15 months...
do you have some recent photos of the project?
Right, but those are things I am talking about buying now. I have, and am in the process of buying, everything we need. I bought a new living room set, am buying a new bedroom set, washer/dryer, area rug, and just bought all my window treatments. The builder is doing landscaping for us: mulch, bushes, sidewalks, so I will just be buying a couple trees in the spring. With a new house you aren't finished shelling out $'s when you close on the house.... there's still, landscaping, window treatments, furniture........... the list goes on for 15 months...

Cool deal!Got the day off today and looking to just lounge around and be lazy. We are heading to Boston tomorrow for a christening. Other than that, not too much.
Yeah, but I've already checked work e-mail. I think I may be addicted to work.Cool deal!
I wish I had today off.
I've done that before though.Yeah, but I've already checked work e-mail. I think I may be addicted to work.
The kitchen looks just fine. I think a small efficient kitchen is far better than a huge one.Pictures of the current work. Don't mind the labeling, Jenn's dad was very confused about what our closets looked like after looking at the first picture, so Jenn clarified for him
The kitchen is small but there is a good amount of counter space and lots of cabinets so I'm pretty happy with it!
Awesome. You guys get a new house for my kid's 1 year birthday. We close on the 29th of December, so I will have everything purchased that we need (major expenses), in addition to paying the rest of my closing costs. After that, it will be several months before using any of my savings again.
I'm certainly glad that, after yesterday's happenings, we aren't telling you "watch out for your cornhole, Peter".Morning.Currently nothing new to report. Yesterdays happenings I posted already.

She knew going into the house deal that it was going to be her bucks, not mine while I'm in school... so I've got no sympathy for my sugar mommaThere sure are a lot of "I's" in that paragraph and not so many "We's."
Help a sistah out, BV.......damn.
Wait a minute, Antimony is a sugar momma? The voice of reason is wise in all aspects of life. She knew going into the house deal that it was going to be her bucks, not mine while I'm in school... so I've got no sympathy for my sugar momma
Great appreciation, certainly. But no sympathy

Nice! I bought a Light and Motion Arc for about the same price last week during Nashbar's 20% off sale. It just needs to stop raining so I can use it!I'm ordering a light for night riding this weekend......I'm thinking about getting the NiteRider Enduro helmet-mounted system from Jenson at $269. Seems like a pretty stout light for a decent price.
I had a question about your SS Redline.... how do you like it? does it have disc tabs? I am thinking about picking up a '06 26" monocog (I can get a great deal on it....) but I know the 07 flight is now a good cromo frame with disks and a removeable dropout that can be switched to a gear'd bike! I think I may just get the 06 cause of the cost...yup, leaving direct from work for Kingdom trails, I beleive there will be 15 of us staying in a townhouse on Burke mtn. forcast is calling for cold temps, i wish I noticed that before I packed
