Good morning everyone!

Yesterday was an eventful evening :)

Right after work I went bouldering for about two hours - I've officially decided I'm a weakling!!! There's a few routes at my level that go through a horizontal roof and then back to a vertical wall...and I kept getting stuck in the transition from horizontal to vert...finally figured out how to hook my heel around this tiny little acorn of a hold and stuff my other toe into a hole in the roof so my feet wouldn't fall off the moment I reached around with my arms for the first two holds on the vertical wall...then I could kind of leverage myself using my feet and launch up to reach a funny off to the side hold thingy...the next hold up however was out of my reach!!! ugh  I tried and tried and finally had to move on because my arms were SO pumped. Funny how I can do all the vertical routes at my level but this horizontal stuff totally defeats me!

Anywho, so onto the better news...:D After a quick shower and swing through the cleaners I headed down to a fellow monkeys house to buy a new frame and fork!!!! :D:D:D It's sitting in my trunk right now so I can take it with me to Canada tonight and show it to steve. Woohoo! Oh yeah...hehe, It's a Julianna and in the bestest color too!

I always like moving. It's an adventure, it's a lot of work but the adventure makes it worth it.

I hear ya, man. I had planned to take today off to ride with Splat, but alas it's supposed to pour all day so I am at work instead.

We met with a realtor last night and are planning on seeing some houses this weekend. :)

Oh oh and more good news :D

I work at what some might call a "pretty" office. My boss has a weird predilection for hiring people who are physically attractive...though for the most part all the guys sport wee little pot bellies and the girls discuss their soaps over lunch. I'm the odd ball because I play on bikes and rocks and stuff and they all think I'm off my rocker...
But - in the last month I got my boss to start commuting to work by bike :thumb:
And - the heavy lady (we all have heavy ladies at our offices, don't kid yourself, you know you see her in the lunchroom and just wonder), came to me and asked me to help her buy a bike she could ride and enjoy because she's trying to be healthier and lose weight. I was so floored that of course I immediately started on the search and we ended up finding her a nice little comfort bike. Nothing fancy, quite cheap actually, but for her I'm so amazed and happy for her!
Then the other lady in the office, who has a son and is a little closer to my age also came in looking for help to buy a bike!

I'm like SWEET y'all are trying to healthy up and stuff. :)

I've given up on house hunting for the moment around here. It friggan blows!!!!! The prices are out of control, it's really bad around here. There was a 1000sq foot ranch with 3 acres on a very busy road with 3 acres, no basement, no attic, for $245K

We were in the market last summer and gave up. But we regrouped and are back at it now. There seems to be more available now than there was 8 months ago.

Thats possible, I guess we're still thinking about moving out of this area. I wish I could explain how bad it is around here. The only place that we could afford would kick my commute up to about 1+ hr each way. My time is valuable to me and that is way to long for the money I get paid.

Nam I am
Morning , its a tough one .

Last Night Berkshire rider was passing through the area so to celebrate we did a Rid ! ( see seperate picture thread ).

I have been having all sorts of isseus with the rear end ofthe bike ( rear Der. and Brakes ) since a bout a mounth a go on a ride when I destroyed , my rear derailuer , I think I will take to the shop and make sure all the drop outs are straight. ( and for me to take a bike to a shop that isa big adminsion)

ten last night about 11:30 I get a call that our FTP server is not reponding , and the other person who I work with in the unix area is unavailable because she is in labor , so I have to go in and get it all working again. a moron on our NT side doens't understand you can only plug soo many systems into a UPS before the circuit breaker kicks out ! I get home around 2:00 am and go to bed.

was suppose to take today off and ride with baboon, but its suppose to rain all day , even though it has n'r rained for a couple of hours looks very threatening.

and Now MY co-hort is out on maternatiy leave for the summer leaving me to hold down out Unix enviroment for the summer , all by my self , oh joy.

and even though we aren't riding . i decided not to go to work anyway! :) make it a Longer weekend

Mornin all.

I saw the funniest thing yesterday evening. On my way home from picking up Evy from daycare, I was traveling in the lefthand lane of a 3 lane, 1-way street. In the righthand most lane was a car a few lengths ahead of me. Suddenly I see a squirrel dart across the road in front of me. "Oh man" I think to myself. I could see that it was trying its hardest to make it across, but I could tell it wasn't going to beat the other car. Right as the squirrel and car were about to meet, the squirrel gives a huge leap to make it in front of the car... but alas, it was too slow. Luckily for him, instead of ending up under the tire of the car, it hit the left front tire dead on, bounced off, continued running parallel to the car until it passed, then darted across to safety. That was one tough squirrel, I tell you what.

Also, when I got home, there was a message on my answering maching from some lady with some org (I couldn't understand her) who was calling to invite me to a dinner with President Bush. I'll call her back today and see what that's all about.

It seems like the sun is trying to break down here. My dad went up to Burlington VT and he said it hasnt' stopped raining all week. He's a little depressed because he also said it's about 20degrees cooler.

I've yet to decide if I'm happy or not with the SPV. NOt that I wouldn't be in the same position with the 3way or 4way.

I guess I am in the minority of riders that really doesn't pay too much attention to what parts I use. As long as it works and feels good, I'm not picky. The suspension I have now I use because of the deal I got. :)

5e, SPV, Propedal....crap, I don't care. Just give me something that works. :)

Ha, I'm of the same opinion. I do like to try new technology though. I like how it's helped with my pedaling though.
