Man, talk about rainy and gloomy this morning... sheesh.

Well, apparently our builder had it out yesterday with the plumbing/heating people yesterday about the toilets. Supposedly the toilets will be set today, so we'll be staying at the house tonight. Should be interested, we only have lights up stairs, no appliances, construction debris all over the place...

So, you getting things in order to drive to Douglas' next week for monkey fest? I have enough bike carriers to haul all the bikes up on my truck, and we shoudl be able to fit 3 people and our gear in teh back without much trouble. No reason not to go is there?

belle chere street festival here in asheville this weekend. 300,00 people in town starts at 5 today ends at 11 sunday completely free. lots of hot girls!

Ya know... it's actually kind of funny. When we first started talking about building instead of buying, everyone tried to discourage us... saying how stressful and miserable the whole process is. When we met with our builder (Bret), we immediately felt good about building, we felt we could trust him and his work seemed to be very good.

We broke ground in October, and up until about 2 months ago, everything was going great. The process had been very smooth, we had virtually everything picked out and/or ordered, most of the decisions had been made, we were slightly over budget, but we expected it, things were going very well, and we were very happy with process. Then it came time to do the electrical, plumbing, heating, wallboarding, plastering, and flooring - all the things that we needed subcontractors to do (i.e. stuff that couldn't be done by Bret and his crew). That's when things started going down hill. People would say they were going to be at the house, then just not show up for a week... no idea why or where they were, no explanation. That's been the frustrating part.

My wife just called, apparently there is a small town up working at the house today. Our driveway is approx 300' long and it's PACKED with trucks. So far all I know is that they are putting in the toilets and the vanities in all 3 bathrooms. This is a good sign.

Climbing might be a bust on Sunday, depending on the weather. Movie time!

Should be a good weekend, as soon as i get out of here i am installing some new XT cranks on my freinds ride, then going out for a few brews...Get ready for this i havent raced xc in about 4 years and I believe i will be racing tomarrow im scared ill blow chunks everywere! argh...

Looking like a good weekend here. 'Cold' front is suppose to come through Saturday evening with a high of only 90 for Sunday. Hope it doesn't rain.

I'm hoping to do 2 things this weekend...one is to ride and the other is to start building a picket fence around my front yard. Unfortunately, if the forcast is correct, neither will be accomplished.

And I just placed an order for this so I can carry my new camera with confidence:

Yo homey. Had a short ride yesterday. Julie rode well and liked her new fork. She is not aggressive at all, but I found a crack in the shock mount on her razorback. It is on its way to K2 and I am upgrading it to a fox shock. Got a couple of weekend rides planned.
