Well, its that time again :(

I only have one test, but I have many take home exams, projects, etc. I'm about to start in on page five of my Theatre history exam, and I'm not even done with part one of three yet :(

I needed a break, so you may have noticed i've been flooding the :monkey: with posts. :D

(so far, for finals, i've been in front of my computer for ~20 hours since this past weekend) ((and that DOESNT include :monkey: time)

Just finished finals. Already have my grades even.

Man, I totally shoplifted a B+ in my CS112 (HTML website class). I never read the book, didn't study for tests, didn't even do all the labs. We had a month to do our final project and I whipped it out in 2 days. Easiest B+ of my life. I feel like I got away with murder.

Let's see, past 2 days.......
Spent about 5 hours in front of computer writing papers last night. Went to bed at 2am got up at 5am went to work until 11am and then back in front of the computer for 2 more hours. Total school work done in the past 2 days = 1 test and 11 lab reports. All this for a DAMN Linux class!!!! My final is next Thursday.

I'm gonna kick it tommorrow night and then go to the salt mines for the next week.

1 scheduled final monday- greek literature
2 self scheduled- christian history, new testament studies
1 20-25 page paper- social change in the US (writing it on criticism against RW Emerson)

None will be easy. I am most worried about finishing the paper without my brain turning into mashed potatoes and running out my ears. Too bad I have to be back here like Jan. 3rd or something and then I start what will likely be the worst month of my life.

if you've got an all east pass, we should hit the slopes.
I think I might have given up skiing for good. Didn't go a single time last year for the first time since I was in second grade.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! We need more skiers! Stick with it!

On a more school-related note, I am now officially on winter break. I also got an 85% on a research paper that had been assigned for more than a month, but I did it in 2 hrs the night before it was due. YEAH slacker-style!

Hey, stick to skiing, it rules... Been a skier for the past 13 years, seen the ups and downs. But now that skiing is cool again (sic) you can pick up some Scratch's and go backwards all the way down!!! Got some descent snow here in Montreal, went skiing on tuesday, it was ok. I miss Whistler tought...

woo, 2.5 done of 4! the .5 was that i had to pick two topics out of a pile, with the complete pile representing this set of 120 or so subjects [big pdf file!]. we weren't given the writeups in that file, either -- i did all of those. we were just given the subject lines at the beginning of the quarter and told to get busy

finished my 4th final yesterday at 5. i was in shock. e-mailed the prof a few days prior to the exam hoping he'd help me out comparing toshi's math, to the math i was supposedly tought. no luck. i ****ing hate the new 'business' calculus series at UT. on good notes, i got a 92 and 88 on my finance and geography finals.

i just want to take MicroEconomics Theory. why must integrals, series, and sequences keep me from my happy place?

anywho, after the final, i went on police-escorted-ride-turned-critical-mass. that was fun.

we have this thing in Austin called the Trail of Lights, and every year, they have a bike ride that tours those lights, then heads across town to look at some more. well, this year, there were about 2000 riders, and 6 cops to escort those riders through the middle of downtown Austin at 7pm. however, as soon as we turned onto one of the main roads downtown, the cops announced that they were leaving, and that the ride was becoming a self-guided tour. that was about 1/4 of the way through the ride. so we pretty much took over the road we were on (3 or 4-lane one-way). that was a lot more fun. when we were being escorted, i spent half the time with one foot unclipped, pushing off like i was on a scooter.

but once the cops left....weeeeeeeeeeeeee. it's fun passing 2 busses, and riding between cars. i love urban road riding.
