Stosh is vacation so.........

How was your w/e? my week sucked, but me w/e was great!

Fri=a former female coworker that I use to have the hots for, but haven't seen in 3 years invited me out for a couple drinks......ended up hanging out for 8 hours / she's still damn hot, funny as hell...and pretty affectionate :thumb :thumb:

Sat=slept late (for me) and missed Treesaw's group ride, so I did some chores, then borrowed my roommates Suzuki and headed up to treesaws deck party, and had fun hanging with a bunch of monkeys (I'm sure there will some pics of the party)

Sun=XC race at windham mtn, they did a great job making the course, it was a blast & challenging ... everyone got so muddy. I was happy with how I did (2nd place), and when I was called for the podium, the announcer said "and the rider with the BEST team name....4 monkeys and a Baboon !! (oh yeah, lap # 3 was interesting being I only had about 10% of useable back brake)

Morning Doug - I had my sons with me on Friday night and into Saturday - that rocked.

Visited MBC and IAB and their new house for a bit on Saturday, did some swimming and then that evening went to an all star charity bball game at Mohegan Sun - had a martini at a swank martini bar after the game - then drove home.

Had my sons again on Sunday - took em to Dakota for brunch and then we hung out and just chilled - did a little bit of a suburban ride Sunday night and then just chilled out.

Mondays suck.

Good job on Friday night - more details please. :)

And way to kick ass on Sunday too! That's your second podium in that race series right?

Awesome job on the race, Doug! :D :dancing:

We closed on our house Friday afternoon and spent the entire weekend shopping for furniture. :dead: Except for a couple of beds and three TV's, we have the entire house to furnish. Holy frikkin $$$$$$$$ Batman. :dead: :dead:

Leaving work at 11:00 today to meet with our painter and do some kitchen work. Moving day is Aug 30.

Not much to report from the weekend. The wife and daughter made it home from vaca Friday night, so my run as a batchelor is over. The Mrs. and I are off on a vacation of our own Wed so most of the weekend was spent getting ready for that.

Good Morning everyone! Had a pretty good weekend. Worked on bikes friday evening to prepare for the 6 hour race on saturday. Cleaned up and had a date that didn't go so well. Saturday we went to Spenser SP south of Rochester for the Suicide Six. Both my friends podiumed. It was a cool race in a cool place. Went to a BBQ saturday night. Sunday we worked on bikes again. I replaced another bottom bracket  I guess that if I going to run ISIS I will be replacing BB's regularly.... Then we went to Letchworth and ride (see post). Good time was had by all but it sure is a long freekin ride. Left at noon and got back after dark. Oh well I can do laundry today. All in all it was good.......jdcamb

My weekend went pretty good i guess? Had a fun happy hour excursion on Friday with my ultra hot friend (nothing happened) :(.

Saturday was kind of cool, slept in real late then went out for a mid day ride, the trails were wet as shlt which made things real interesting, we found some really steep chutes out in the woods that someone had dug out to make steeper than the natural terrain would allow they for really fun. Then came the bad part, we were riding back to our vehicles and going about 15mph i decide to jump up on a curb and ride the length, well something weird happened when i bunny hopped up causing me to hit the pavement hardcore, my friend said that I actually bounced. So now i am minus allot of skin on my arms and legs :mumble:

so that night I went to a party and met a really killer chick, got some #'s wahoooooo

and finally yesterday was car maintenance day, oil, air filter, fuel filter....ugh

My weekend was alright, mostly just hanging out and getting school stuff ready. Most of you know I started last Thursday, so unfortunately I'm out the door in about 10minutes to get there on time. (Starts at 7:15MST). have a good day everybody. Atleast you people at work get to surf the Monkey and pretend to be doing work while you're doing other things, haha.

Good Morning.
Friday evening I mowed the yard, ate some dinner, and worked on my BMX restore.
Saturday the wife went into work, so me and the kids just hung out and played around. When the wife got home, we ran some errands. Went to a 3 years olds B-day party. Got home, and ordered some pizza, and watched a pre-season football game.
Sunday we did some shopping for a friends baby shower, watched the kids, while the wife did some grocery shopping. When she got back me and a friend went for a ride. All was well until have way in on a climb my chain just snapped. Caused me to go down. I thought we were focked, because I don't have a chain tool. (Isn't funny you don't buy the needed tool until you get screwed by not having it.) As I'm turning around to start hiking, a couple of riders came up, and thank god, they had a chain tool. Made a quick repair, and we were off. Awesome! The chain was a little short. I had to take two links out, so I had trouble in the big gears. Oh well. At least I was riding. There were a bunch of people on the trail close to a pinic area by the lake. Made for some close calls. I had some kids playing tag or something. One popped out on on the trail, and I nearly ran right over him. After the ride I showered and grilled two 10 oz filets. Mmmm good! Over all not a bad weekend.

Wife went out of town Saturday so the kiddos and I hung out at the house.

Sunday night went on a nice ride in the park. The weather here has just been amazing lately. It does bring everybody out, though. Nothing like 100* temps to keep the wanna bes at home.

It was cold in the camper with the windows open Saturday night. I was freezing Sunday at 6 when I went to pee.

Comfort was fun, but my legs sucked all weekend. Still wouldn't do the drop. Did several others though.

Oh and good morning.

Morning!

Had a GREAT weekend of riding, drinking & hanging out with friends. Glad everyone could make it up for our deck party. It's getting bigger & better every year. Today is laundry and teaching some lessons at home.

Kicked the keg last night...not still drunk though  But I could probably work on that later today ;)

Mornin all.

I'm just glad to be back at work so I can get some rest...

On Saturday my wife threw a bridal shower/bachelorette party for a friend, which meant that I spent all day being "daddy daycare" as well as being my wife's all-around "go-fer" guy. Some friends came over to keep me company and we ended staying up waaaay too late. Of course, our daughter promptly woke us up at 6 am Sunday morning. I then proceeded to go out and dig post holes and started installing posts for a fence around our front yard. Them bags of Quickcrete are HEAVY. Then after that we had to go out to dinner with Steph's boss and the president of their company who was over from Japan. Came home and didn't sleep worth sh*t last night thanks to the crappy Home Depot A/C that is in our bedroom.

I need more sleep.

I had a good w/e. Went up to Aspen on Saturday a.m. to attend a buddy's wedding at the top of Aspen Mountain. Had a *killer* lunch at the fancy joint there at the lodge on top. Good food, wine, etc.

Headed over to Snowmass Saturday afternoon to backpack into the Maroon/Snowmass Wilderness and climb Capitol peak. Unfortunately I was feeling a little crappy because of the alcohol, and then spooking a *BIG* black bear about 20 yards away just before hitting timberline - I "reassessed" my priorities.

Headed back down to a nice high-country meadow and bivvy'd in the trees. Had a great night's sleep, despite the bear-scare. Packed back down Sunday morning and took a beutiful drive over Independence Pass (>12K).

Stained my deck Sunday evening........... :mumble:

No pics, as the wife has the digi-cam in Ohio at the In-Laws place.......

Does it not cool off in the city? I just turned on the window fan and the bedroom was in the high 60's before I went to bed........

This morning it was in the low 60's. Now *that's* good sleepin' ;)

High country is a crap shoot for riding in October. The resorts generally start to open for *skiing* around mid- to late-October.
