edit: for those not in the know, the plan was for all TV sets that did not have digital inputs to have their HD content restricted to one of the lower resolutions, since the analog inputs can't play nicely with the planned copy protection for High Def content.
Apparently, word is that there will be no restrictions on High Definition output for those who don't have the appropriate digital (DVI or HDMI) inputs on their sets. You'll still be able to see your high resolution HD movies in all of their glory.
Or at least, any move produced until 2010.
