So I make slushies every now and then but I do a lot every summer. Do any of you guys make them? What are some good recipies?

My favorite:
-2 oranges worth of juice
-1 one lemons worth of juice
-orange zest
-lemon zest
-sugar
-water
-ice

blended smooth.

Any slushy I make is occasionally improved with light or spiced rum :thumb:

I prefer smoothies. A favorite is:

a bunch of strawberries
a bunch of blackberries
a bunch of blueberries
a couple bananas
a couple cups of vanilla frozen yogurt or ice cream
milk to get it to the "right" consistency

smoothies are a big part of our breakfast, especially when I was rowing in College. Basically the recipe is this:

Frozen fruit
yogurt
juice
milk
+ protein powder if working out

sorry I don't have a precise recipe, but I never have the same ingredients really either, except for blueberries. They go in all our smoothies.

We buy blueberries from a farm a couple miles down the road in the summer and freeze them ourselves. WAY cheaper than buying frozen ones at the grocery store.
