At the Drive-In was a band. They were good.

They broke up.

Their members split into two bands: Sparta and The Mars Volta.

Cedric, the lead singer, is with The Mars Volta, which is one weird-ass band.

Sparta is more traditional in a rock 'n' roll sense and appeals more to the masses (aka more radio friendly).

All three of the aformentioned bands are very good, and each has its own distinct sound.

well maybe not on the jazz part, but there are a lot of great blues songs, by some awesome artists. And just because it's blues doesn't mean its depressing.

What about system of a down? Their music always pumps me up, its some of my favorite preride music.
