I am new to dirt jumping/urban riding and a looking to build up a soul cycles loki frame that i got off of a friend. i dont really know where to start with the components or fork. any reccomendations
Sounds like a good start. I mentioned lots of forks in the other thread but it sounds like a Marzocchi Dirt Jumper or Z1 would be good for you.
As far as components go, I would look for used stuff that'll fit your bike.
Some cheap yet decent parts that stick out are:
-Truvativ Hussefelt cranks. You can get 'em for like $20. Not great but they work.
-Truvativ BB, ISIS. Cheap, works.
-Any pedals, really. Wellgo and such are decently priced and decent.
-Stem/bars/seatpost/seat/etc. aren't important. Buy what fits and what you like.
-Buy a strong set of wheels that'll fit your frame and fork that's meant for DJing. There's a lot out there. Everything has it's plusses and minusses. Just get what's in your budget.
