After two good dirt balls and one rock in my eye this weekend I need some optics to keep my peepers from getting damaged. I tried goggles, just don't like the fighter pilot feel.

Anyone know of a good pair of optics that work well with a FF helmet?

I have a set of oakley race jackets that should be arriving this week. I will update thsi post then. They cover the face well, vent well when moving (apparently the fog when stopped) and are supposed to fit well in a helmet.

I will give them a try on a few helmets this weekend and let ya know.

i think it's going to be hard to get a good answer w/o you actually going and trying some on but I like my Smith buzzsaws. Really good eye area coverage and they don't seem to fog up too much.

The Specialized Chicanes are awesome! They have full eye coverage so you won't tear up at high speed and they have the nxt lenses that they make apache windshields out of. Check 'em, I love mine.

I read the lenses adapt to different light conditions? How well do they change from full sun to low light in the woods? That would be pretty trick if they can adapt that quick.

I know but goggles are the only way to keep crap out of your eyes.

Try Quick-Straps on goggles and it might help http://www.offroadimports.com.au/quickstrap.htm They allow for instant removal and application of the goggles for when you stop moving and help fight fogging.

I can't see without my glasses and I am to wuss for contacts. If i could wear contacts I would be rocking goggles....there is no substitute.

No thanks... The good lord didn't f*** up when he made me. I'm in charge of f***ing myself up.

Also, just cause the good lord made you ugly doesn't mean it's fashionable to be ugly. You just got hosed. It's a cruel world.

I will give my Spy's another chance. Gotta do something my eyes were all bloodshot after a day at the mountain. Just have to get used to being Sky Captain.

To be serious for a moment....

I actually like the "sky captain" feel. It makes me feel like I'm invincible and I'll go bigger and faster. Like I'm watching myself on TV.

I had tried some Smiths I had and the blades ( ear pieces ) dug into the sides of my head with my FF. If I was to try another pair they would have to be flat vs round blades. It was lame ( my bad ) that it came off sounding like a fashion question......

Ive had my racing jackets for two years and they absolutely rock. They do fog up when its hot and your stopped(at least on the east coast), but the wind coverage and optics are excellent and the venting is perfect when moving. They wear with the ff comfortably although personally I would recommend getting used to goggles since they stay put and you can replace the lenses super cheap.

Yup, so I hear. Mine have arrived, RX and all, so I am good to go now.
