How is everybody today?

Road the rollers for a little while last night. My computer works great for watching movies and riding the rollers I've found.

Started putting the Trek Fuel together. I need a few minor things before I can finish though.

Have a great day!

Good. Saw the ex yesterday and she was actually friendly. Trying to define my living situation and work some things out. She is moving to the UK in 5 weeks and it will be a good break for us. Kind of trying to salvage our friendship. I would like to have atleast one ex GF that doesn't hate me.... I rode last night and conditions were perfect. Fun stuff. I think I lit it up because I was full of fire after seeing the ex. If I ride tonight that will be 6 rides in 7 days. That usuaully doesn't happen this time of the year......jdcamb

Morning Stosh,

Had a fun night skating with my son's hockey team, rode around on the Hollowpoint a little bit (I think I'm going to love the SRAM triggers!) and then spent time with Laura.

What are some of the minor things you need for the Fuel? Perhaps I have some stuff that can help you get her built up.

Cheers,

Mark

'morning Stosh.

Ran around all last night... Stopped at the bank, threw laundry in the washer, got a haircut, threw laundry in the drier, got dinner, picked something up at my girlfriend's apartment, and got ready for class, all within about an hour and a half.

There are a bunch of idiots in my chem. class, though...

'Morning.

I went to a spinning class last night. It felt good to turn some cranks again. It had been a while. The people at my "gym" are so pampered. Some chick made the instructor get off his bike in the middle of a song to fill her water bottle. WTF is up with that? I'd have told the bitch to fill it herself.

brake bosses for the rear triangle, headset (which you know) and a fork which isn't so minor but I think I have one lined up but I need to speak with you about.

IAB - I'm going to my first spinning class ever tonight at Winding Trails - give me the 411 on what to bring - should I bring my own pedals, shoes and a pedal wrench?

WTF is up with that "fitness center" of yours?? Actually what's up with the instructor!? Was it a guy filling up a woman's water bottle? Maybe he wanted to score points during class in order to score different oints after the class.

If I went to your gym, I bet I'd kick your arse in the sweatiest person contest.

The bikes at Healthtrax have toe clips in case you want to wear sneakers, but flip the pedals over and they are SPD pedals. I wear my MTB shoes and clip in for the class. Your class could have either kind. I would not bring extra pedals and a wrench for your first class. Just deal with what they have for your first time. Do bring a water bottle and a towel. You will be covered in sweat by the end of the class.

MBC went to a class a couple weeks ago and the female instructor did the same thing...filling up water bottles in the middle of the class. Stupid people need to just bring bigger water bottles (they were using 16oz Poland Spring bottles).

My butt is sore from the class last night.

maybe I'll just do the strap thing tonight to see how they feel. Seems kind of pretentious to come in on my first class and swap out pedals, huh.

When you say Fixed you mean as in like a fixed gear bike? so no coasting possible correct?

Yeah fixed as in I nearly blew a knee the first time on one and I decided to stop pedalling. You'll get used to it quickly though.

Morning Stosh,

Couldn't find those Marz parts last night. I thought I saw them just the other day too. I've got about 20 boxes of stuff still unopened from my last move; they're likely in one of those boxes.

I spent about three hours swapping parts on four of my bikes last night. Trials bike got it's bars back and a temporary stem. Enduro got trials bike's stem and Epic's wheel minus cassette. I took the opportunity to remove the 36 to snap some pics of it as it seems to be of interest lately. Epic got rear wheel, cassette and derailleur from the Specialist which will be complete once again when King comes through with my EP.

It was all very nice being alone in the basement, left to clean and whittle away the time switching things around to make them right. AND I got rid of the ghost shifting on the Epic. Hoo-rah.

Morning! Long time no post for me...been too busy. My student teacher is starting to help out now and she is doing well. I will be REALLY glad to have a break soon as I have been so damn busy.

Rode the trainer for a half hour last night and I think I am catching a cold. Strep is going around one of my schools again so I am just hoping I don't get it! :dead:

Rollers again tonight.

I bet all that time with your bikes was much needed after all the wedding planning stuff you had to endure.

I really appreciated being alone for that long. I'm a pretty solitary person most of the time...solo backpacking, riding, camping and snowboarding...and don't get much of that anymore. I appreciate it when I get it.

I know I need to take the wedding planning stuff in stride, but there's so much going on right now and it's getting to be overwhelming sometimes. The wedding planning seems to be the issue that pushes me over the top though.

Hooray for solitude.

Hey, my instructor yesterday said "Ok, we're going up a hill but we're going to stay seated. Make sure you get way back in the saddle for the hill climb." I thought...."uhhhhh, what?" I guess we were practicing the "fall off the back of your saddle on a climb" technique.

Eh, I'm probably just dumb.

If my class is good tonight - I'll let you know IAB - the woman who is running it used to work at Benidorm so I think she'll know her shiznit.

Cool.

I miss Powerhouse Gym. One spinning instructor there trains state cops with her spinning classes, and she would always call them a bunch of babies. :D

:stupid:

i think some people either just don't sweat, or aren't working very hard (or a combo). i am similarly baffled.

btw, the specialized shoes i got are still hurting my feet a bit, and orthotics hasn't really helped the situation. this sucks. :(
