We're kicking off the 2024 Secret Santa! Exchange gifts with other monkeys - from beer and snacks, to bike gear, to custom machined holiday decorations and tools by our more talented members, there's something for everyone.
Not too much to report....mowed the yard yesterday, washed my truck and changed the cable in my rear derailleur. Talked a little with one of my riding buddies about which trails we're hitting this weekend on our trip to the mountains. Made a tasty roast w/taters and carrots for dinner and watched some TV.
I left work late after a meeting to find out that my nephew (who is also my tenant) fractured his arm on tues. night playing softball! So he was in surgery to put in plates, pins, bolts, screws... basically enought Titanium for that sweet new XC race bike I have been wanting!
so Bek wanted me to pick up Emma. I picked her up while she went to the hospital.... and sat........ and sat.......... waiting for 3 hours to see him. The reason that this sucked (in addition to the obvious) was that I didn't get to ride cause we had noone to watch Emma, and Bek didn't want her at the Hospital
Morning. Still on the job hunt. I don't get why it takes people so long to call you in for a second interview (or at least drop some bad news)! If you want someone hired by the end of the month, you better step it up, people!
Had a nice ride last night. I like my roadbike much more after making several adjustments.
Also bought a new saddle yesterday because my old one was literally ripping itself to shreds. Also realized that writing an article on local bike shops tends to result in major discounts
Morning all, only one more work day to go Put new chain on bike and spent the rest of the night ripping up the upstairs floor, its part of my anger management therapy.
Brought my bike light in to work to charge it up, but I forgot the charger Gonna have to make tonights ride a quick one
My comanagers have been pissing me off lately, so yesterday I cc'ed the owner in an email. This am the general manager came in my office and told me the owner spent 20 minutes yelling at him

I'm giving my two weeks today. I told my boss the other day that I got an offer from another company, he countered but i'm turning him down, mostly because I don't like anyone else in the company.
Morning all! I have had a long day already. Syd's still nursing a cold so she was a little grumpy this morning. I am working on a great cold at this point so I am tired. BUT, I am back in my "normal" schedule and it's nice to be seeing kids and working with them again.
Tonight we're going out to dinner with my brother and his wife to celebrate their anniversary. Then I need to get home to see the CSI Season premier and pack for the weekend.
My HID light is on the truck for delivery.... I think I'll run home at lunch to see if it's here and get it charging. Weather is looking good so hopefully I can get a ride in tonight....
Shiatty day at work yesterday, but it's the first one in the 11 months I've been here so I guess that's not too bad....

I'm a system analyst for a hospital system in the PNW. We're implementing a new process at an independant provider office today and one department decided at 3:30 yesterday they had some 'concerns' that were ultimately irrelevant but still raised a good stink....

Home for lunch. Lots of labs today. Not much fun. I need to pack tonight to head downstate. I might be able to get out for a ride tonight, but I'm not counting on it with a 4-6 class.
