I had a deck hockey game last night and our friggin goalie didn't show AGAIN. Kind of hard to win when the other team is shooting on an empty net. We lost 6-2.

Morning Stosh !

Led my Sons Cub Scout Den on a Mt Bike ride last night , was really pretty short , just a short loop I can usually do in 15 minutes , took us an Hour :)

My son Owned thos kids. I'm not sure the kids ( other than My son ) had that Great of a time. I will say the fathers who came hada Blast , even though they struggled , as they have never really been on trails before. I even had to show One father that his quick was wrong and the proper way to use a QR.

als Most of the other riders had little LED headlamps , they did OK . But I would not want to have to do a WHole ride depending on those.

all Said it went well.

Tonight is night riding night , and this is also the first night ride of the season where we push the start time back to 8 Pm

Morning. Have a night ride planned tonight.

Nothing else going on.

I'm wearing bike socks at the office.
I wear them as much as my 4 pairs of bike socks allow.
I'm asking for ONLY bike socks for Xmas.

Had dinner with Laura last night. A killer Cobb salad.

then watched some of the Sabres vs. Hurricanes game before calling it a night.

Today is another day at the office, followed by a couple of hours of hockey practice for my sons. This is the time of year that reminds me how much I love the game of hockey, even though it takes up a ton of my time, it is worth it. Such a great game and great team sport!

got out of work later than i'd hoped, and didn't get to take advantage of the awesome weather.

my used/new-to-me lens came in yesterday though, which made me happy. no more renting the 85mm f/1.8

rode into work today; nice brisk ride.

The office of one of the jobs I'm an finalist for has a whole third floor of an old house that has a kitchen, family room type area, and a full bath with shower! That was a selling point right there. Can you say lunch time road rides??? :)

Although it is in downtown Hartford, so I might have to find an old roadie - not sure I'd want to be riding my Serotta around the streets of "New England's Rising Star."

I pretty much only wear bikes socks. I hate all other kinds now.

Today Im bleeding my brakes and heading to the bike shop for some tubes and other odds and ends. Heading off to Pisgah on next Wednesday, so I gotta get stuff in order.

Good luck!!! Riding during lunch will make the rest of the day look so much better.

I can't wait for my new job-- There are miles of singletrack right on the property!!

Mornin Stosh.

My ride got rained out once again  Had some dinner, watched Bones (which was actually pretty decent), did some laundry, paid some bills.

Yep - I'm a party animal.

How long would the commute on a bike be? 20-25 miles? Man, that would kick ass.

Probably something like that. But it would be a pretty hairy ride in through some fairly tough neighborhoods.

Hmmm.....perhaps I'll also need to buy an erbon bike from some grom for some erbon lunchtime rides to break up the time spent on the roadie.

That is if I even get an offer, and if that offer is attractive enough to make a switch.

Right on the property??? what kind of job is it? Who will you be working for, and are they still hiring?
Yeah, I'll be able to park my car at the college in the morning and then grab my bike and ride right to the trailhead after work. There are also BMX jumps and skinnies and stunts there too. It's pretty nice land.

Dancin' over rocks n' roots!
Morning all!

Got home from school and did a bunch of school work last night and celebrated with a couple of hefty glasses of wine. Syd had fun feeding herself dinner again and that generally means lot of cleanup for me, but I dont' mind. I completely forgot Lost was on and I watched Criminal Minds instead.

More of the same on deck for tonight.

Morning, all! Another beautiful, warm one here... 88 and sunny! :D We are going to check out the house tonight, to see how many walls they have up. Then tomorrow it's a half day and we leave for TN for the weekend, to the Blue Ridge mountains. Should be a good time. Enjoy the end of the week! :D

Good Morning!

Glad it's Thursday....this week is draggin'. Had a few brews, grilled some steaks and watched "Jericho", "Lost", and "The Nine" last night. Nice evening.

Getting a haircut today after work and that's about it. It's pizza and beer night, so I'm looking forward to that.

I also started my search for a 29'er hardtail.

Yes, we do know that. :) But a friend of bv's dad has a house in Pigeon Forge, TN. Free place to stay, and it has a pool table and hot tub. I hope it's close to some waterfalls and good hiking areas, so we can spend some time outdoors Saturday! :D

Pigeon Forge: Home of the most congested traffic in the appalachians. Outlet malls and cheesy museums abound. Have fun:cheers:

I read these every morning and don't post....got to start somewhere though

I really really wish it was Friday. This week is dragging :disgust: Going to try and do a night ride tonight, the bf doesn't get out of work until 7pm and it'll be an hour drive up in the foothills...don't think the guys will want to wait for us. We'll probably hit the local open space trails on the CX bikes for some fun. Maybe some margaritas afterwards

Commute in was good, kinda chilly. Hopefully it'll warm up for the lunchtime ride.

Welcome to the GMT.

I hear ya. I hate how work always manages to get in the way of a perfectly good ride!

Good morning. I got word last night that I am heading to Foxwoods Resort on Monday, staying until Wednesday. I am planning to stay Wednesday night in Boston, I guess, since I have to take the booth down. Not looking forward to going, but hope to gang up with some MA/CT monkeys.

Can anyone tell me how far in time it is to Foxwoods from Boston's Logan?

That's cool......hope you & bv have a good weekend. I'm just givin' ya the business cause of the 8 hr. plus drive y'all are facing. Ouchie. For that gas $$, you could rent a cute little cabin in Brevard and have all the waterfalls and hiking you can take---plus plenty of redneck poolhalls to get your game on.
