I'm going in to work late today because I'm taking my dog to the vet to get his nutts cut off. :(

Anyway my wife pulled a sweet tick off my back today. I don't understand how I can ride my bike thru the woods all the time and I rarely ever have a tick on me but I spend 2 days out at a job site and I've found 3 on me in. WTF? I F'ing hate ticks!

Hate 'em.

OMGF and I went out on a backpacking trip. With our dogs. Dogs came back with ticks (which we didn't see). Wait a few weeks. BAM! Ticks everywhere in the house. Crawling up our legs. It was .............. creepy.

So, I went to the local pet store, bought shampoo (for the dogs), carpet and furniture spray, and bug bombs.

I think it worked. Haven't seen any since.

It was just really weird.


Anyway, Thursday is fine. I'm ready for the weekend.
I have to run a lot this Sunday. I have a marathon next sunday. I haven't been able to run because I was recovering from a horrendous case of the blisters. I have new shoes, socks, and body glide now (which is a btch to get in between your toes).


My post sounds like God plagued me, doesn't it? Ticks and blisters....

I'm here doing a little work before I head out.

My dog is sitting right next to me while I'm at the computer. He sleeps on the floor next to our bed as well. He's an awesome dog....

Mornin Stosh.

I'm hurting this morning. Trails were too wet to ride, so I ran instead. About 3.5 miles in just over 30 minutes. Got to break in my new mp3 player (Creative Zen 2gig) as well. Then I stayed up WAAAAY too late doing nothing worth staying up that late to do (paying bills, laundry, etc).

Not much on for today...

A Marathon...WOW!!! I really don't enjoy running enough to do a marathon, but best of luck to you!

No you wouldn't!

You should also check out the Duathon that Trailblazers is sponsoring...it's an off road run/mtb/off road run thing. Long Trail also sponsors an "off road" marathon that involves an off road run, mtb ride and short swim. Sq-Earl and I were talking about this one for future challenges.

Morning! Not much goin on here. Rode some urban last night with the kids on my street. Learning how to do wall rides and my arms and legs are killing me today. Gotta stop by the LBS after work today. A coworker of my wife's has a bike we're thinking about buying to give to my daughter for Xmas, but I want to get a second opinion on it. They're asking $100 for it, but I'm not sure it's worth it. Have a good one y'all! :)

Good morning monkeys. No lessons period 1 for me today--kids all had a test so that means I can relax, enjoy another cup of coffee and get some paperwork done...yippie!!!

Actually, I got a lot of work done last night so I don't have nearly as much to do today which is nice.

Syd is REALLY motoring around the house, so most of our time is spent chasing her down and re-baby-proofing. She almost got stuck behind the sofa last night. She got frustrated and then decided it was a fun place to play hide & seek. She's WAY Too cute!

Whooaahhh! You should NOT run a lot this Sunday, you should take a nice, easy 5-8 miler. Most training plans recommend a 2-3 week taper before race day. I know it is hard to let off after training, but you need your body to be fresh for the race and it takes some time to do that.

That said. Do what you like and GOOD LUCK!

Morning - I'm feeling tired this a.m.

Lots of work, waiting on a job offer, and running to and from the rinks is wearing me down a bit. But at least the Mets won last night!!!

I got in a short(hour or so) ride last night as the cold front was blowing in. I wasn't feeling as good as I had hoped, but really can't expect much after coming off four days of a fever inducing, body aching illness. Of course, it could have just been the fact I went from my 30lb XC bike to the 38lb Banshee.

Good morning. Not doing much today. It's windy as heck. I may go home early and ride and play golf.

Stosh - do you have a Hawaiian collar for your dog? I think every heeler needs a Hawaiian collar.

Nah he's got a blue collar duh!

It's funny, I said to Aubrey that should something happen where someone is getting rid of another heeler or one wonders into our yard or what-ever we will adopt one.
Last night we're driving home and there is one walking across the street right in front of us. At first we thought it was our dog, he looked exactly like it but then we noticed he had some clothing around his neck. He followed us for a minute till we pulled over to get him off the road. Then he scurried off into the woods before we could catch him.

I'm bumming right now because my pup is sick! One of my roomies said she 'urped like 5-6 times night. Now she won't eat and is just laying under the table like a sad sack.

Oh, and I got my hair cut. Sweet!
