My hot water heater sprung a leak yesterday and flooded my basement. I managed to build a drip pan for it and will be limping along until I can replace it this weekend. Sometimes I wish I was back in an apartment.

Yes and no. I'm pretty happy with is but I'm still having trouble launching properly.

Had some great salmon steaks last night.. Grilled up, a little rosemary and lemon.. Good stuff.

Also, if anyone has a chance to pick up a bottle of Francis Coppola's "Rosso", I highly recommend it. About $11 at my local liquor store, and a really great red wine for the price. I buy 'em regularly.

Launching? As in, lip of a jump type launching?

What kind of shock is it?

Yeah as in the lip of a jump type. It's a 5th element.

Lots of practice. The tradeoff for having such a tunable, pedalling platform shock is it will never be lively like a Fox, and so it doesn't "pop" you off the lips.

I'm installing a vinyl soffit ceiling on the back porch of my apt. this weekend hopefully.

Man the first time out on the shock I tried to launch this huge burm at the trail head... HUGE mistake!

The shock in combination with my poorly tensioned made for a few spills. Now I have everything fixed and I'm ready to ride. Hopefully Friday I'll have a good ride.

Yeah I've done it before, not that hard. Except that I have stupid plastic pipes in my house and if you don't have the special crimping tool you need to buy all these expesnive compression fittings that I don't trust. I miss good old copper pipes, I like using my blowtorch.

Ceiling work is a pain in the neck, literally, shoulders too.

Yeah well it's not to bad. The vinyl soffit goes together pretty quick and it's only a 10X15 porch.

I guess the worst part is that I have to front the money and my landlord pays me back. Oh well atleast now the furniture won't have bird poop on it. I'm going to screen the rest in at some point over the summer.

You sell the stock to buy your house? When are you looking to move in?
Congrats on the anniversary!

Sold the stock just to have a little extra money. It's really not that much, but enough to help a little. I wanted to borrow against my 403b, but the plan does not allow you to borrow against mutual funds. No biggie.

Thanks. :)

Yesterday was my last day at my old job. It was a good day. I've got until Monday until I start working again at the new job.

My plan for today is to go have breakfast, pack for this weekends' camping adventure with my kids, and go ride this evening!

It's supposed to be 75 today!

Just some stock I had from a former employer through an employee stock purchase plan.

Married three years, but have been together for 7.

Have fun riding tonight. We have to stay home and get our paperwork gathered for the mortgage application. We're receiving the FedEx package today and want to get it out tomorrow.
