Morning stosh, hope things turn out to be better today then they did yesterday. I was sitting in really cold conference room for a meeting, and started shivering uncontrollably. So i waited til the meeting was over thinking it was just the room, well 2 hours later i was still shivering (borderline ER stuff) Drank a ton of juice and put on 2 coats, and finished out my day. Went home found out I have a 102 degree fever 
...Woke up again last night shivering, and now im at work

Today after work I am going to cycle into the city and pick up a b-day gift for My wife... usually we just go away for our birthdays.. mine is nov 2nd hers is the 4th. this year with the house coming and all we figured we would save some money... but i have been planning to get her this for a long time... besides itys her big 30th b-day...
what do you think???

yeah that is why i am sticking it out through this...trust me if i felt this bad at my old job i would not be here...sucks because i want to ride tomorrow, but i dont think cold fall evening air is what i need.stosh said:

Morning. Had a quiet night last night. Played with my daughter for a while and then we all watched the movie Robots. It was pretty good. Put the kid to bed around 8:30 and flipped back and forth between the baseball game and MNF. Nice and relaxing! Nothing on tap today except work and then home. I also rented Lords of Dogtown and The Longest Yard (w/ Adam Sandler), just have to decide which one to watch tonight. Planning on riding on Friday and then off to Diablo for the weekend on Sat. morning. Can't wait!

Not much goin' on today. Typical Tuesday, I guess. Just going through the motions and getting the product out the door. Worked on a new logride at the trails yesterday after work. Ordered the front brake for my Preston build also. Grilled a hell of a tuna steak after all that and enjoyed a little Monday Night Football until Indy turned it into a rout. Hell of a finish to that St. Louis/Houston game though.....very exciting. Probably going to get some cleaning done around the house this evening---gonna give the trails a break for a day or so. I need to get some more building materials like nails, a new saw chain and some pressure treated decking to span some low areas on the local loop.

Went for a ride last night... about 6 miles into the trail I got a bad case of chain suck on the rear wheel. The chain was jammed between the rear cassette and the hub. Took me 15-20 minutes to get it out. No biggie, but a huge ass cloud of blood sucking mosquitoes swarmed me. When I got home I had well over a 100+ bites on my back, arms and legs.
I hope I don't get West Nile now....

Our team's Pro rider (Jimmy Stoddard) is in 2nd place in the overall points going into this weekend (which is the last race of the Domination Series), so he's racing for the $1000 cash payout. I would really like to go and I only gave my friend a tenative yes that I would give him a hand so maybe I could squeek my way out of it.
PS. I'm super slow at riding DH so I'm not sure if you'll want to ride with me. I would only be riding my MKIII which can't take that much of a beating.

No sweat. We're going tobe taking it relatively easy anyway. One of the guys is just recovering from surgery, he's going to be taking it easy. His wife will be riding with us, and she's a relative beginner. Another guys snapped his fork on his DH bike so he'll be in something like a MKIII as well. No worries....stosh said:
