How is everybody today?

Another F'ing cold day!! :)
Well hopefully today should be a better day at work. I'm helping a co-worker move today after work. She is a 46yr old single mother moving into her first home. I'm really happy for her so it should be a fun night.

Hope ya all have a great F'ing day!

Morning! I got to go snowboarding this weekend for the first time this season which was awesome. :) It was cool, we drove up my 97 Civic and ended up getting almost 250miles on less than half a tank of gas. Let's see.... work's endin' up being alright. I sold like $4k in two sales last night on TVs, not sure what kind of commission I'll be getting off of it.

And today, finals start. :( So hopefully I do pretty good with all those.

Have a good day. :)

'Morning. It was a balmy SIX degrees out this morning. :D

Went to the gym last night...have a hockey game tonight. Other than that, not much going on.
I had an awesome work out last night. I got there early so I was able to lift and then I did the 45min spin class which rocked.

It's been about that lately too. Except since it's Colorado it'll last for three days, then it'll be like 20degrees for a few days, and so forth. It's an ongoing cycle. :p

I just remembered as I noticed there was red ink all over my computer monitor that my boss put tracing paper up to my screen in an attempt to sketch over my drawings....

Is she a MILF, stosh? Had to ask.

Let's see.......Tuesday--as steve mentioned, it's pretty mild around NC temperature-wise, but we're supposed to get some freezing rain and sleet by Wednesday. KInda typical for us---"winter" as we know it, doesn't really arrive until late Jan. And even then, it's never too rough. Just kinda cold a rainy for about a month.

Brought the Christmas tree inside last night and got 'er set up. The wife and one of her friends are doing all the decorating tonight. Maybe if i'm nice, I can convince them to deck my halls!!! Hahhhaha.....couldn't stay away from that one, sorry. :p

Good f'ing morning, stosh. Been a while since I've posted in the f'ing Tuesday thread.

Still waiting on one more f'ing present for Jenn, ordered it on Monday of last week from a place that should have had fast turn around, and they didn't ship it until yesterday . Oh well, almost done shopping.

Feeling pretty f'ing unmotivated today, hope there's some entertainment on the :monkey: to keep me occupied.

She's not like a 100% MILF she's like a 60% MILF. Not enough IMO to make it worth it.

My computer died at home yesterday. So now I gotta get a new one. It's been about 5 years since I bought a desktop, what's the good place to get stuff nowadays? I build my own. Tigerdirect? Newegg? Do I care about Hyper Threading? Should I get PCI express? Help me out nerds.

Tiger Direct used to be a decent place but I've heard bad stories about it recently. I'm a big NewEgg fan, myself. Have had excellent experiences with their customer service, and their shipping is super fast.

You'll want a PCI express x16 slot for the graphics card. Other PCI-express slots are just a bonus since not many cards take advantage of them now.

Make sure the board has SATA connectors, and get a SATA drive if you're buying a new one. Much easier to deal with than IDE.

What are you doing with it? AMD Athlon 64s are a pretty great buy now, reasonable price, low power consumption and much less heat generated than their Intel counterparts.

Morning. Had a good trainer ride on the trainer last night. I was supposed to get my new frame yesterday and UPS supposedly delivered it right before I got home last night. The problem is that where I live there are several buildings and my landlord's house. And I have no idea where the package was delivered to!

We've been looking at new PCs too....but we aren't brave enough to build our own. However, if you're interested, let me know :sneaky:

Meh, unless you have a really specific need for the computer, or really want to build one yourself, you can get a pretty damn good price/performance ratio out of a Dell. There's lots of bargain sites that post coupons for Dell systems and many times, having the no-hassle warrenty is worth it.

BTW I'm really happy with the computer I just built. Now I need an additional HD.
Got any suggestion on CHEAP 300gig drives?

I have a digital video camera on it's way.

We have a Dell now and have really had good luck with it. Now, we really want to have a faster processor and more hard drive space so we've been looking at newer machines to replace ours.

How important is the Cache?
For data storage, not really that important. I'm guessing that you're using this as a secondary drive, right? For storing pictures/video/media?

I'm looking at picking an ALMOST new 320gig Western Digi. for $115 shipped.
Okay, but I don't buy "almost" new hard drives. I don't buy refurb'd hard drives either. Strictly new, with the warranty. Hardrives definitely have a decent rate of failure, and anything you can do to reduce the probability of failure is a good thing.

What's your best suggestion for backing up, just an external HD?
Depends on how anal you want to be. External hard drives work great. A dual layer DVD burner is capable of a lot of storage as well, and you can keep those off-site (parent's house, lock box, whatever) if you have really important stuff (photographs or digital video of family, or a really, really good porn collection).

Morning! Cold here as well...7 degrees currently. I had yesterday off so I did a little xmas shopping and mailed out my RM SS gift. :) Last night I took my daughter to her ballet lessons and then we all went out to dinner. Mmmmm...chicken quesadilla!! :thumb: Once the kid was in bed, it was a movie double-header night at my house. Mr. & Mrs. Smith followed by Fantastic 4. Mr. & Mrs. Smith I liked a lot, but I thought Fantastic 4 kinda sucked. That's about it I guess...

Out of my mind, back in a moment.
Test was not so bad afterall. And I only need a 55 in the next one to keep a B in the class, so it's almost a throwaway exam.

Time Warner Cable cut me a cheque for 90 bucks yesterday. No clue why, supposedly a refund for something. I'm not complaining though.

We enjoyed Mr. and Mrs. Smith immensely. It was actually a lot better than it looked at first glance, and some of the puns/jokes were actually laugh out loud.

They way they very quietly beat each other up on the dance floor of the restaurant was excellent.

i thought it was a very witty and good action movie but they did drag it out for a little too long.
